Crawling out of the burrow Nick held out his hand, holding the loose skin of its neck a thanator cub dangled down with its legs curled up like a kitten. "Explains why it was so aggressive" muttered Ace. Nick looked at Ace uncomfortably. A mother protecting her baby.
Being what he is, Nick understood the animal, why it would kill and shred to protect its young, he'd do the same. The wolf looked at the cub and lowered his ears, its eyes weren't even open yet. "Best to leave it yeah?" Said Ace.
"it'll die on its own". Said Nick.
"What do we do then?"
"It's Kinda cute don't you think?" Said Nick as he coddled the cub like a baby in his arms. Tilting his head looking at the cub, "she's, Cute.".   "How about the kid?" Asked Ace.
"You got any tracker on ya Ace?"
"No? I've got coms if you want me to call this in?".

Nick put his hand on his mouth, thinking as he glanced away. Should he take the kid back to home base, only way to do that is have Ace riding. Could the recom be trusted? This wasn't the same man from earth, as much as Ace would like to think he's the same.
"If I knew where the Na'vi home base was.. what would you think?"
"Do you?"
"No."
Ace sighed and walked back to the ikran holding onto the kids arm. "You wanna take the kid back we will"
"IF, You don't mention it, we never went, all of this. Didn't happen."
"Yes don't worry Nick, Jake Sully ain't my problem"

"Tell him that yourself" Said Nick as he walked over hopping on the ikran.
"Wait what?"
"Just get on I'll take you there"
The Na'vi girl sat in front as a means of protection for them all, the cub rested in Nick's lap while Ace sat at the back swaying his tail.

Flying through the forest the mountains were now in sight. "You don't say anything, don't touch anything, got it?"
"I get it dude"
"They'll know your RDA soon as we're in there"
"They won't shoot if we have the kid right?"
"They have crazy aim with those bows it ain't guaranteed, but I'll tell them what happened so they don't think we murdered those kids"

"So we're risking death doing this shit?"
"Pretty much." Sighed Nick.

Arriving to the mountains there was one in particular Nick remembers, on the outside you'd never tell it was a home for anything. "There, go in calmly and land on the edge"
Ace leaned forward focusing his attention on landing as perfectly as possible. Flying into the cave there was other ikrans sitting and waiting on the ledge, other Na'vi walking around instantly halting and turning to the strangers flying in. As they landed Nick handed the cub to Ace  telling him to just sit and keep his head down. Hopping off Nick gently picked up the child and put her down then holding his hands up. Mo'at was one of the Na'vi standing around, her tail flicked at the man in military uniform on the ikran, her ears twitched looking at the wolf with the Na'vi child beside him. Nick noticed Mo'at and slowly walked toward her keeping his hands up, the child still shaken followed behind him holding onto his tail.

"Uh see heek?.. there was a incident with a thanator and some Na'vi children"
Mo'at looked over at the recom then glared at Nick. "You bring sky people here"
"He's in my position being stuck with RDA, he's with me but he was the only way I could bring the kid back and tell you".
Leaning her head to the child she spoke in Na'vi holding her hand out, the child hesitantly held her hand and walked to her side.
"What incident?" Glancing to the child then the wolf.

"Well-". A Navi behind them screamed and a couple others yelled in Na'vi waving there bows at the recom sitting on the ikran. Ace kept his head down and tail flicking, trying not to move as if that would make it any better.
"Mawey..." Mo'at yelled with other Na'vi words to the people, they glanced back then backed off, hissing to the recom.

Glancing then turning back to Mo'at Nick continued. "Well me and Ace were in the forest, we found the girl and following where she came from there was three other Na'vi kids killed. It was a thanators area"
