CALEB
Even if I wanted to apologize I won't. She had to understand the world. Being helpful was gonna take her nowhere. I had a meeting and I just drove and drove to make my mind clear. I think I heard the Cafe right. Cafe Metal. Destiny wanted us to meet. Kiera was gonna be there too.
Ian: Hello. I am Scott Publisher's CEO. Ian Scott. I didn't think you'd come out like this. You have denied my reaching out many times. Why did you accept this time may I know?
Caleb: Just cause you came so far. What brings you to Minnesota?
Ian: Would it be boring if I said I came looking for you? I came for something else, but I contacted you so that I can meet you in person.
Caleb: You suggested a Boston themed calligraphy photobook right. Why Boston of all places?
Ian: I released a series of books based on Boston recently and a review left a large impression on me. It was nice to know that in the harsh and cold city there are still people who find it warm. I want to showcase those instances of warmth.
Caleb: That's nice. That's why it will be hard for me.
Ian: Can I ask the reason why?
Caleb: I don't think I can find it. Pictures of Boston which aren't cold and fierce.
I looked up to see the window. Kiera was passing by. She finally reached. Though she left before me she took more time to reach.
KIERA
It was a huge cafe. And it was a library too. Books and Coffee, not a better match made in the heaven. Just when I thought God graces weren't on me I realised I was wrong. The Greek God guy came and stopped in front of me.
Guy: Hey we meet again.
Kiera: Hello. You must really like books.
Guy: I do like books a lot. I got your postcard. Did you write the things on your social media platform by yourself?
Kiera: Yes because there are copyright issues if I write someone else things, they can get my post deleted or worse get me sued and I don't have time to deal with court cases so whatever comes naturally I write those. It's a sort of diary to me.
Guy: Well then that's the most beautiful diary I have ever seen. I liked what you wrote. Could relate to it. Your calligraphy as well.
Kiera: Thank you in many ways.
Guy: I didn't say anything worthy of gratitude.
Kiera: Truth be told I've been feeling a bit down, but what you said was really nice. I must really love this job.
Guy: It will gradually become more difficult. The more you like something ,the more difficult it becomes. But I hope you do continue. Goodbye then.
Kiera: Bye.
Well the vacation was worth it then. I bought a book and sat on one of the garden sofas.
Kiera: Ass. Even someone I just met is more kind.
Caleb: Is the ass me?
Kiera: What the fuckkk?? You are a ghost!! Are you following me?
Caleb: Where were you for so long? I've been waiting.
Kiera: Aren't you going to apologize for being such a shit?
Caleb: Me? Apologize? No. I am not going to be thankful or apologetic cause if I do you are gonna keep putting yourself on danger and help people.
Kiera: Am I stupid or what? I wouldn't do that for everyone.
Caleb: Don't do it for anyone. And I am... thirsty yes thirsty.
