Ch 30

KIERA

It was a very silent car drive. I could hear my heart beat. But it was for good. I had no intentions to talk to Caleb. The AC was sending chills to my spine. The weather was breezy but not enough cold for Caleb I guess.

Caleb: Why do you have an umbrella with you? It's not raining.

Kiera: Forecast said it would.

Caleb: If it rains again today, we might have to shoot aga--

Kiera: Let's just end it today.

Caleb: Okay, let's do that.

Today's shoot was an abandoned amusement park which turned into a normal park. It wasn't like Disneyland. It was one-twenty fourth of Disneyland. But it was special. People who used to customers here before, came back here to rekindle their memories. It was probably a place were someone proposed their loved one or had their first kiss. Or that's what Caleb said. Right now there were horny teenagers who looked like they would do it right here at the park.

Kiera: People are wicked. They throw out things when they think they don't need it anymore. Then they come back looking for it. And keep looking.

Caleb: I have always wronged you Keira. But not anymore. I won't anymore. I'll leave, forever. For real.

Kiera: You are really leaving?

Caleb chuckled a sad laugh and walked in a different direction. I was still affected on him leaving. I didn't want him like I did before but he will always be a special person in my life.

Kiera: Where are you going?

Caleb: Didn't think about it now.

Kiera: When are you going?

Caleb: Think it as today is the last time we are hanging out. So you can smile a bit more.

Kiera: Hang out? We are working.

BENJAMIN AND GENEVIEVE

Divorced people only meet up because of their kids. Or at least that's what Benjamin and Genevieve did. After hearing from Caleb in the gallery, Genevieve knew something was eating up her son. She wasn't the best mother to him before but she needed to right her wrongs.

Gen: Caleb says he's leaving again.

Ben: Well it's not like this is the first time he is leaving.

Gen: I thought he had someone he liked. But things didn't go well?

Ben: He likes someone?

Gen: He wouldn't say so.. but that's what I think.

Ben: Ohh..

Gen: He takes after you, running away when things get tough.

Ben: You are the one that left me. Ran away. You ran away to New York for years after tossing me those divorce papers.

Gen: I left. I didn't run.

Ben: What's the difference?

Gen: It's different. I left because you kept running. When I wanted to talk to you, you worked overtime and on the weekends. You even worked on holidays.

Ben: About that..

Gen: Running away doesn't mean it has to far. You were there right beside me but not there at all.

CALEB

Kiera was playing a piano which was kept on the field area of the park. Shockingly it still played.

Caleb: Do you think this park would have been able to function if it was given a new beginning and not abandoned? It was given a second chance and it changed forever. If trains had continued to use those railroads, it would still work the same. But now it's a cute place were couples go. Though they were abandoned, it's a relief they were able to start over again. You could think about it that way.
