Ch 49

(Another day)

KIERA

I was passing by Caleb's complex, after gym so I thought to meet him. We hadn't met for two days as he had to deliver a photo the earlier day and I was out for work today. I ringed his bell. Caleb opened the door.

Kiera: SURPRISE!!

Caleb: What??

Kiera: What you don't want me here?

Caleb: No no. I was just surprised.

I grinned and grabbed a fistful of Caleb's shirt and pulled him towards me, smashing my lips against him. A moan left my throat as soon as our tongues met. Caleb pulled me inside and after locking the door, he pushed me against it. He grabbed my thighs and pulled me. I wrapped my legs around his waist as our kiss got deeper. We crashed on the sofa. Caleb's hand made an effort to pull down my pants. But something wasn't right. I wanted our first time to be special not when I am wearing a sports bra and almost out of energy.

Kiera: No wait.

Caleb: What?

I slightly pushed him on the chest and sat upright on the sofa.

Caleb: I am sorry I didn't realise you didn't want to do it.

He was feeling bad. I kissed him on the cheek to assure him it's fine.

Kiera: Let's watch a movie.

Caleb: Okay...

MAEVE & THEO

Maeve and Theo were hanging out in a park swing, eating ice-cream.

Theo: What did you do today?

Maeve: I went on a picnic with Mom and Hugo.

Theo: Picnic?

Maeve: Nothing grand.. We just ate pasta at a park nearby.

Theo: That's nice.

Maeve: I should have been nice to her always.

Theo: It's not to late now.

Maeve: Hmm. What did you do today?

Theo: I uh.. I went home.

Maeve: Oh.. Do your parents know about my mom?

Theo: Yes..

Maeve: What did they say?

Theo: They're worried about you and sad too. Said you must be going through a hard time.

Maeve: Is that all?

Theo: Yeah.. that's all.

Maeve: Hmm.. I thought they will ask about the marriage. Anyways.. let's play a game.. Whosoever gets highest on the swing gets a wish.

Maeve started swinging high and Theo got off his swing.

Theo: Well I lost..

Theo helped Maeve swing higher.

Theo: Now hold tightly. Don't swing that high, that you fall.

Theo had a buzz from his phone.

Maeve: Who is it?

Theo: Caleb? He asked me to meet me for drinks? At Ryan's place. This is weird.

Maeve: Caleb?

Theo showed Maeve the message.

Maeve: Something's wrong. Go then. I'll go back home.

I was texting Kiera while sitting in Ryan's restaurant.
