Ch 45

AVA

Ava was seeing her daily horoscope quote while Ryan's notification came.

Ryan: You haven't forgotten about the movie right?

Ryan: Our date??

Ryan: Remember?

Ava threw her phone away and started screaming into her pillow, thinking what puddle she fell into..

CALEB

I got up extra early, to read her text. It said "Wear a shirt and a pant (smiley)". That's it. That was all she wanted. I wore a blue shirt and a black pant. I did my hair like Kiera liked it. Before reaching her house I stopped at a flower shop to buy a bouquet then I waited for her. There was a small field near her apartment, it was filled with kids playing basketball. After few minutes Kiera stepped out. She rarely wore dresses but when she did.. she looked angelic. She too had worn a shade of blue dress which was till her ankle length. It had a slit from the left thigh. I gave her the red chrysanthemum bouquet.

Kiera: Thank you... You have nice choice of flowers.

Caleb: I know. It's a present from me. It has to be the best.

Kiera: Only give presents to me.. Give it to anyone else.. and I'll kill you.

Caleb: Why do I always see life and death flash before my eyes when you speak?

Kiera: I have no plan what to do. We can just chill.

Caleb: Whatever we do.. It will be a good day.

I went to open the door for Kiera. Then I heard her scream. I looked at her direction and she was lying on the road with the ball beside her. The kids were saying sorry continuously. I helped her get up.

Caleb: Are you fine?

Kiera: I think so.. It will be a good day no..

We went to the shopping mall. As we had no plan, we thought to start with the arcade games. But luck wasn't on our side. The games we wanted to play were on repairing and the others had a big line. Top gun Maverick was on the theatres, so we booked tickets for that. The movie had started and we held hands. It had been probably just twenty minutes when some guy from behind had his whole tub of popcorn fall on Kiera. WHY IS GOD DOING THIS TO US??? I helped her clean it and we left the theatre.

AVA & RYAN

Ava was waiting for Ryan as he was late. The movie had already begun but he was nowhere to be found.

Ryan: Ava I -- m her-e. Woho.. the traffic.

Ava: You are late!

Ryan: Sorry.

Ava: Did you do something to your hair?

Ryan: Yeah I dyed it for the date..

Ava: What date?? This... is not a date. This is me paying you back for helping me.

Ryan: Who cares what's it called? Important thing is we are together.

Ava: Let's just go.

While walking towards the escalator, Ryan saw Kiera and Caleb coming down from the theatre.

Ryan: Ava... Is that Kiera and Caleb? Or am I dreaming??

Ava: What the hell? Why are they together?

Ryan was going to say hi but Ava pulled him and they hid behind a movie poster.

Ryan: What's wrong?

Ava: They will think weird of us situation.

Ryan: But why?
