Ch 13

KIERA

I woke up with a headache. I was wearing the same clothes as yesterday. There were notifications on my phone.

Caleb: I think my back is dead. I will sue you for this.

Ian: This is Ian. Are you okay?

Oh nooo noooo. I must have called Caleb and said shit like I always do. Ian must have seen me that way. Oh goddd. How do I put myself in these kinda messes?

IAN

Ethan: You called for me?

Ian: Has Ms. Wood replied yet?

Ethan: No. But there were many people drunk yesterday. You only care about her it seems.

Ian: Oh should I care about you? You outed me infront of the writer. I can fire you.

Ethan: Sir please cool down. I am sorry it won't happen again. And Caleb Rivera contacted. You have meeting with him at 12:00 pm.

Ian: Ok. But tell me when Ms. Wood replies.

CALEB

I got ready for a meeting I had with Scott Publishers. Kiera still left me on read. I might have to sue her so she talks to me.

Caleb: Thanks for agreeing for the meeting. I said no to your offer so I thought you won't be humble anymore.

Ian: I would always be. You are a valuable photographer. Doesn't matter how many times you say no.

Caleb: I won't be saying no anymore. Let's do the photobook.

Ian: Oh. I am taken aback. Why sudden change of heart?

Caleb: You have reached out multiple times. If you chip away at me ten times, I'm the type who ends up giving in. And I think I can find it. Pictures of Boston which aren't cold and fierce.

Ian: That's great. Before we begin, I have something to discuss with you. I said you about the Boston themed stories I released. The original plan was to take lines from these short stories. But I recently met with a certain calligrapher, Kiera Wood. Her style of writing really connects with what I want this photobook to be. If it's okay with you, I'd like to ask this calligraphist to write as well. She doesn't have much work experience but I know she would do well.

Destiny wants us Wood..whether you do or not.

Caleb: If everyone is looking for experience, then how will the freshers build up their career?

Ian: Right. So I want to assist her, in building her career up in Scott Publishers. Of course only when it's okay with you.

Caleb: Well I'm good with that.

Ian: Then, let's proceed.

Kiera will be shocked to know this.

KIERA

During this time there would be a lot less customers. Nobody wanted coffee to be their lunch. My phone ringed. It was the CEO.

Kiera: Hello.

Ian: Why didn't you reply to my text?

Kiera: uh..

Ian: Can I see you briefly tonight?

Kiera: Did I do something yesterday? I am so sorry.

Ian: No, it's because of work.

(few hours later)

Kiera: I'm sorry for asking you to come all the way here.

Ian: It's okay. I'm the one asking favor, so I should be the one coming to you. To get to the point, I am creating a Calligraphy photobook. I'm hoping you would do the writing and the calligraphy part.
