KIERA
I was standing at the Copley Square's bus stand waiting for Caleb to come. I felt an airpod in my ear. "18" by One Direction was playing. It was Caleb. The memory from school days just flashed before me. Nope. I don't like this man anymore.
Kiera: What's this?
Caleb: A nice song.
Kiera: Take your damn airpod back.
The bus came. It was filled with people already but we didn't have time so we got into it. There wasn't much space between us. I'd prefer Caleb over strangers but this was too much close. The bus reached a stoppage and many standing passengers left. There were no seats but atleast now I could breath freely. The bus started but a car came infront of it. Due to the sudden brakes I lost balance and stamped over Caleb's feet.
Kiera: Sorry.
Caleb: That hurt!
We reached our destination. A quote just happen to form in my mind.
Kiera:'The life cycle of a street.'
Caleb: What does it mean?
Kiera: A street and a person is similar. It's been pushed continuously for development. But despite that it does well. I guess when you are pushed out much you learn the sense of enduring. Like I said before, I'm going to make the theme "Living on when pushed out to the side". Is that okay?
Caleb: Sounds good.
We roamed many alleys. There were vintage stores of cameras. Old restaurants. New Cafes. Caleb was clicking many photos. One thing I noticed, Caleb wasn't taking any pictures of people. Whenever there was someone blocking the frame he waited for them to pass.
Kiera: You don't seem to take pictures of people.
Caleb: I don't take pictures of people. There is no one I want to photograph.
Kiera: Why?
Caleb: There is no one I want to see for a long time.
Wow. That's very weird.
Kiera: Didn't you have a girlfriend?
Caleb: I did. Here and There. All over the place.
Kiera: Then you should have taken pictures of them. Why didn't you?
Caleb: I didn't date them seriously. So, when I click a picture of someone, I must really like them. But I think that won't be happening.
We almost covered the main attractions of Copley Square.
Kiera: What does that mean?
Caleb: What?
Kiera: You said you won't be taking pictures of people.
Caleb: I am too lazy and scared to like a person. I don't have the confidence to change forever or be responsible. It doesn't suit my temperament
Kiera: Is that from experience?
Caleb: From observations. There weren't many happy endings around me.
Kiera: Is there anything as such as a happy ending? Every endings are sad.
Caleb: That's why.
CALEB
I was trying to shoot the campus area but there were so many kids, it was a struggle. I turned to see Kiera staring at a couple sitting on the stairs of the campus entrance.
Caleb: What are you staring at?
Kiera: They are pretty.
Caleb: But I am prettier than both the girl and the guy.
