~few days later~

MAEVE & THEO

After reaching Boston, Maeve decided to put her mom in chemotherapy. So she admitted her mother in a hospital.

Maeve: What is a college go-er doing here?

Hugo: I'll study on my own. Stop mothering me.

Sandra hit Hugo in the head when he said that.

Hugo: What was that for??

Sandra: This kid! If I'm not here then your sister is your mom.

Hugo: A sister is a sister not a mom. And why wouldn't I have you?

Sandra: What do you think, I'll live forever? You think you're the only ones growing up? I am aging too.

Maeve: And you will. We will see you die and old grandma not so fast. By the way Hugo.. Your college called saying the fee amount isn't transferred yet. Why is it not transferred yet?

Hugo: Oh.. I forgot. I'll give it. Anyways. I'll get going.

Maeve: Study hard..

Theo entered the room when Hugo was about to leave.

Hugo: Hey bro!!

Theo: Where are you going?

Hugo: College.

Theo: Wait a moment.

Theo took out wallet to give Hugo some pocket money.

Hugo: I am 22, Theo. Not a kid anymore. Goodbye.

Hugo left the hospital room.

Theo: He's all grown up. Have you been doing well?

Sandra: Hmm. It's nice to see you. Maeve go buy som food for Theo.

Theo: I don't need anything, mom.

When you date someone for so long, your significant other's mother feels like your own. Theo was used to calling Sandra mom. Sandra eyed Theo that she needed to talk to him and Maeve can't be here.

Theo: Black coffee will do.

Maeve: Uh.. okay.

Maeve left to buy the drinks.

Sandra: Theo, I know you are already doing a lot by staying with Maeve. I know she is not the easiest to be around.

Theo: It's not like that. I love her. The way she is.

Sandra: I really don't know how many days I have to live. I just want to die knowing you will be there with Maeve forever.

Theo: I'll never leave her.

Sandra: I know you won't. But knowing Maeve, she will try to do it all alone. Don't let her be all alone.

Theo: I promise you, things will work out.

Maeve came back with the drinks.

Sandra: You guys can have your time. I am feeling sleepy.

Theo and Maeve left her mom to sleep in the room. There was a park beside the hospital. They went there to sit. Being a workday morning, there were very less people here.

Theo: It's difficult right?

Maeve: There are nurses to take care of her. I'm doing it much better than you think.

Theo: I'm so sorry I can't take away your hardships from you.

Maeve: You are already having a hard time. Sorry.
