CALEB
Mom: Caleb? Son you came.
I gave her a bouquet of light pink roses. It went with her theme of the gallery. We sat on the cafeteria area.
Mom: What happened to your hand? Did you get hurt?
Caleb: Yeah.
Mom: You should be more careful.
Caleb: Hmm.
Mom: Nothing's wrong, right?
Fucking mom instincts.
Caleb: No.
Mom: Are you dating someone?
Caleb: No.
Mom: Why not? You don't like anyone?
I looked at my wrist brace. Yeah I like someone mom. Guess what she doesn't like me back. You know the worst part she actually did like me before but I was an asshole to her. I could say these or just remain quiet.
Mom: So you do like someone.
Caleb: Are you really just friends with dad now? You and dad really loved each other. Dad still loves you.
Mom: Caleb, do you know what is the most important thing in a long term relationship? The memories. Your dad and I have good memories., but we have even more painful ones. I.... have no confidence to overcome those memories.
KIERA
I was walking by the art gallery where the book will get published. The first interview will happen there. I manifested everything. That gave me hope for the future. What is life if not a little manifestation.. It was a nice morning. The weather was nice. Not to sunny not to breezy. Clear sky and flower fragrances on the road. Nothing could ruin the vibe. Except it did. Caleb came out of nowhere. I didn't plan on meeting with him today. I didn't plan on meeting him anyday! My life was revolving around him. I never wanted this for me. I had been rude to Caleb. I told him he would be lonely forever. I didn't want that for him. Even if I hated his attitude lately, at the end of the day he is, was and forever will be my friend.
CALEB
After leaving from the cafeteria I thought to click some pictures for the book. But there she was. Hair flying in the light breeze, sun shining on her face like she was an angel. She was perfect even when she didn't try to be. She would be wearing the most comfy clothes but would look sexier than any designer shit other girls pulled..
Caleb: Hey.
Kiera: Hey.
Caleb: I ran into you by coincidence. I am not following you.
Kiera: I don't have choice other then believe you. Anyways. Last night..
Caleb: You are sorry?
Kiera: No..
Caleb: For speaking so harshly??
Kiera: How refined are your ears? You can understand it before I even say it.
Caleb: My ears are pretty.
Kiera: So what is our last location?
Caleb: I wanted to capture images of places that were abandoned but still loved for our last location. Like a amusement park no longer in operation. A place frozen as the time around it continues to flow.
Kiera: I wonder.. That's only the perspective of those who abandoned them. From the pov of the location, it is nothing more than a morgue.
Caleb: There is a reason . It is a location that has served it's purpose.
