30th September 2023 (Exhibition day)

CALEB

Mom and Dad came to congratulate me. Dad was at awe. He kept roaming in circles. This was the first time I had invited them to an exhibition.

Mom: It's wonderful son.

Caleb: Thank you.

Dad: It's really big.

Caleb: I don't own this place.

Dad: Take the compliment. Just take it.

Caleb: Taking it.

From the corner of my eye I could see a girl coming in. I thought it was Kiera but it wasn't.

BEN & GEN

Gen: Our son looks like a haggard.

Ben: Is something wrong?

Gen: I guess they broke up. Caleb cried.

Ben: That punk cried?

Gen: Should I go see her?

Ben: No! Do you not remember when my mom went to see you?

Gen: Why are you bring that up?

Genevieve realised she became uncomfortable when her late mother in law went to see her in a situation same like this.

Ben: That's what I was saying.

CALEB

The exhibition was for a week. She didn't come on the first day, or the second, or the third, or the fourth. I waited everyday. I could hear whispers where the people working here made fun about me staying. People found it weird. Apparently the artists of the gallery don't come everyday. But I did. Something in me believed she would come. And I wanted to be here when she would come. Though it crossed my mind that you needed a pre booked ticket to come here and she didn't have any. So it's kind of impossible for her to come. But I believed like a moron.

KIERA

Kiera: What brings you here?

Theo came to my studio. For the first time.

Theo: Can you give this to Maeve? Tell her that you gifted her this.

Kiera: Why don't you give it to her yourself?

Theo: I don't think she'd accept it.

Kiera: What does love mean to you?

Theo: Why ask me?

Kiera: I am curious. If I were you, I would be hurt. But you just continue loving her without getting exhausted. So I really want to know what does love mean to you?

Theo: How far I can go for her, how much I can give up, and what I can put on line. I thought of those things. And I realized I could do anything, if it was for her.

Kiera: I am envious.

Theo: Of Maeve?

Kiera: Both of you. That you can give such love and that she can receive such love. I guess it's something that will never happen to me.

Theo: If you are so quick to judge things from the beginning, no matter whom you meet and what kind of love they offer, you won't receive it.

That hurt. 

Theo: What about Caleb's exhibition? Did you go there?

Kiera: Nope..
