AVA & RYAN

Ava was running down to her office's ground floor as Ryan texted her that he's waiting for her. When she reached, she saw a yawning Ryan rubbing his eyes whilst standing with a tiffin box. When Ryan saw Ava, he screamed her name.

Ava: Why are you here again?

Ryan: I came to see you. (yawns)

Ava: You didn't sleep?

Ryan: No. Customers stayed late last night. But I have the lawyer's lunch ready.

He showed her the three tier lunch box to her.

Ava: I told you not to bring things like this.

Ryan: I am doing this because I like it...why are you stopping me? Make sure you eat it all..except the box.

He handed the box to her hand and was still staring at her like a lost puppy.

Ava: You are really acting like my mom.

Someone: Ms. Llyod.

Ava: Hello David sir. You are going for lunch?

David: Yeah, who is he? Boyfriend?

Ava started to freak out. He wasn't her boyfriend. He could never be. NO!

Ava: No no.

Ryan: No no.

David saw the lunch box and assumed Ryan to be the delivery guy.

David: Lunch delivery?

Ryan was going to correct David but Ava spoke before him.

Ava: Yeah...Lunch delivery man.

David: Have you been giving the lunch boxes lately? It's great. I must tell you. The food is awesome. I haven't tasted any, but the smell, the presentation. Very nice. Will I get the restaurant's card?

Ryan looked at Ava still in shock of how Ava would rather call him a delivery guy.

Ryan: Sorry sir. We still haven't officially opened yet. This is sample tasting. Once we do, I'll send you the card personally.

David: Hmm.

Ava wanted to say sorry to him but David was still standing with her. She knew she could have introduced him as a friend. She blamed her mouth for being so irresponsible. Ryan went to his bike and left quickly. He drove as fast as he could. He kept replaying Kiera's words in his head.

Maybe she didn't care or she was embarrassed.

He didn't have any big degrees. He was sure Ava was embarrassed of his status. She would like intelligent people with millions of dollars. Not someone who is a mere restaurant owner. He felt like a low level burden on Ava. He promised himself to not bother Ava ever again.

MAEVE & THEO

Maeve had taken her mom for chemotherapy. The more chemo days increased, the more weak Sandra became. Chemo was taking the living soul out of her. It was painful. Her muscles ached and so did her joints. Maeve didn't leave Sandra's hand in the whole process. But it was more like Sandra didn't let go of it. She was scared when suddenly all these feelings will stop and she would have bid adieu to it all. Theo came when the chemo process was over.

Sandra: You.. it's a work day. Why did you take the pain?

Theo: I am on vacation.

Maeve: I told you not to come. Why did you?

Theo: Therapy is hard.. and catching a taxi is even harder...Please don't tell me to go. Let me help you mother.

He helped Sandra stand up and helped her walk out the hospital. They drove back to their home together. After settling Sandra on her bed, Maeve and Theo went out for a walk in a park nearby.
