When Aarohi wakes, it’s 6:30 am. For many people, it's early morning, but for her, she is late. She’s curled on her side, Neil snoring lightly behind her. The sun has changed its angle in the sky, sending dappled light through the window and across the two of them where they lay side by side on the bed.
Behind her, Neil stirs. She starts to turn towards him but is interrupted by the sudden, gentle pressure of his mouth against the nape of her neck. His hand slides over her hip, drawing her back against him.
A shiver rolls down her spine as she arches her back, pressing against him. Neil gives a soft grunt, slipping his hand up under her shirt to cup her breast. A quiet mewl escapes her as he pinches her nipple, rubbing his thumb over the firm flesh while his breath traces a hot trail over her shoulder blade.
They rock against one another like that, a quiet push and pull, until aarohi rolls onto her back, letting her legs fall open to cradle him between her thighs. Wordlessly, he helps her tug off her underwear and the shirt she was wearing, dragging his lips across each new patch of skin he uncovers.
He turns towards the bedside drawer to grab a condom after it is on, and he comes back, retaining his earlier position
Soon he’s inside of her, moving in long, languid strokes. She closes her eyes, drawing her knees up to his sides. He hitches one leg up over his hip, and the movement sends him deeper, making her breath catch.
It’s a slow, agonizingly good build to her climax, the pleasure layering over itself, chasing every thought from her mind. She feels raw, splayed open before him like this. He watches her face as she comes, and then he’s coming too, pressing his face to the crook of her neck as he empties himself into her with a shudder.
The heaving weight of his body over hers as he breathes in and out is an odd comfort. Eventually, he comes back to himself, propping himself up on one arm. He kisses her and pulls out. She finds herself wishing he’d stayed like that just a little longer.
Neil reaches across the bed to grab a tissue from his bedside table and dispose of the condom
"Should you be up by now, " Neil asked her
With sudden realization, she got up from the bed
"Shit, I forgot to put an alarm," she said while checking her phone
"It's almost 7 am, I don't have much time," she said while a little panicking
" Why this room has not had a single watch," she said angrily
Before he can reply, she speaks again while getting up
"And why didn't you put any curtains on this window?" she said while putting his shirt on
" And why didn't you wake me up?" Now she put her phone on the charger
"I should have known, this is a bad idea, living away from home, I am gonna be so late"
She said while opening her suitcase
" It's all because of you," she said angrily while looking at him
Poor Neil, still not fully awake, has to take her heat
" calm down chipkali, you are not even that late, and just like you, I am staying here temporarily, why should I put curtains or watch even on that matter," he said with a sleepy voice while cutting her in the middle of a sentence
" And besides it's your fault, you should have put the alarm, stop blaming me for everything," he said while sitting up on the bed
" easy for you to say, it's not that late " she replied in a mocking voice
"Besides, it's not my family hospital, where I can walk in whenever I please," she said in frustration
" Can you not do this, I am not fully awake for this," he asked sincerely
"Fine " she replied while storming out of the room
After half an hour or so, he came out of the room and needed to use the bathroom, he catches glimpses of her, down the hall, where she is exercising. He used the bathroom and came back, still founding her doing exercise there, he followed her there
"Weren't you yelling at me earlier, getting on and on about being late?" he asked as he came across her working out the figure
" Unlike you chamgadar, I never miss exercising in the morning," she said while breathing heavily
" you know research says, sex is also a form of exercise," he said while folding his arms
" yeah, I did that earlier, along with some real exercise now," She said Now getting up
" I am going to take shower " she turns around toward the room
" and don't even think about joining me there," she said while walking, earning a chuckle from him
After good 45 minutes, she is fully ready, and make her way towards the kitchen, when she saw him working there on something, she grab a glass and fill it with water, she drained the whole glass and put the glass in to sink, she now moving out the kitchen but stopped by his voice
" I made you coffee, would you like to have some cookies with it," he asked
"You know, you don't have to make me coffee, no one asked you to do that," she said while looking at him directly
" That's part of come when you agreed to become friends with me, you don't have to ask friends, they just do it for you" he replied sincerely
" well I think, I like you better as my enemy," she said while tying her watch around her wrist, which she took out from her bag
" and I like to change this thinking of yours, whatever it takes," he said while pouring coffee into a mug
" And I am gonna show you, we will be better as an enemy " she replied while taking the mug from his hand
" So, you are gonna try to be enemy part, while I try to be friend part of our "frenemy" bond we share," he said while forwarding her mug
"Deal," she said while accepting the mug
" deal " he replied looking at her
" by the way I prefer my coffee with almond milk," she said while taking a sip from the mug
" noted " he replied while passing cookies to her
She put down her mug into the sink after only taking half a sip and grabbed one cookie, she break down the cookie, before grabbing a tissue from the kitchen top and putting that broken cookie into that tissue real fast, when he was turned around for a second, she quickly disposed of that tissue with a cookie in it to the dustbin
"I am off to the hospital," she said Now running towards the apartment's main door
He saw her disappearing out of the apartment, he moved toward the dustbin and took out a tissue, unfolding it he found all the cookie pieces there
He threw it back into the dustbin and muttered to himself
" friends notice this too, you are not smart as you think chipkali," he said letting out a sigh
