30. LONGEST DAY

The first thing Neil did that morning takes out aarohi's stuff to Goenka's house, as all were in the hospital,  he think he can drop that off in her car, and if someone asks anything,  he will say aarohi's friend tells him to drop this, but he kept something from her stuff, like her laptop, because Neil is planning to do something, he can't wait for her to wake up and end up there again.
Reaching the hospital, he met the Goenka,  they were there, the whole night, and none of them looked like had slept more than 3 hours, Neil wish he could just show aarohi what she would be missing, her family loves  her

Neil greeted them, and ask if anything changed, disappointed is clear as day on their faces, not to bear their sad faces, and feeling guilty over that, Neil goes to his cabin and decided to wait there

Neil busied himself with doing hospital work,  which was pending. the whole of those days, he took off.
He tried not to think about her love hanging with machines, but does it ever happen? In between doing work, he keep checking on aarohi,  he didn't see her face, but he kept hanging out of her room, this day passed at an agonizingly slow pace, the last 24 hours were the longest,  Neil felt in his 24-year existence.

Between checking clocks and visiting near her room, Neil decided the doctor must be aware of what happened,  like if that could help her regain consciousness.
But he knew, even if he did tell the doctor's truth, then awaking her won't do her good, she eventually fall into this, like a girl, to which her career and family are everything, knowing that this could jeopardize her whole life, Neil has to do the same but with a different approach.

Neil knew that his brother and sister in law are on their way to India,  they are on a flight right now, and could reach around midnight if he is not wrong, his brother going to call him anyway.
Neil then prepares some documents,  rather say some fake ones, to prepare himself for another round of lies, he will tell others, to keep her telling anymore, now they both are not lying to each other, they are telling lies for each other, such an iconic pair, a small smile crept on his face thinking about this.

After hours and hours of waiting in the cabin, I joined the Goenka as it was about time for the doctor will check on aarohi, after Anand Birla came out to check on her, he comes towards the tired and hopeful Goenka.
"Last time we checked her, she had multiple organs, which were in danger," said Anand Birla  with seriousness in his voice, as all doctors have that
"As we checked,  many organs are working on their own, but her heart is still dropping, and her lungs are weak, so she still can't breathe on her own."
" What do you mean by that? She can't breathe on her own," ask a worried Kairav Goenka
"She still needs to be under observation. We still need to monitor her every breath,  so she is still not going to wake up, not at least for the next 8 to 10 hours," replied Dr. Anand Birla
"She still in danger ?" Asked Kairav
"She is,  but we can save her, maybe if her organs weren't worked by themself after 8 to 10 hours, we have to put her in an induced coma," said aanad Birla with sympathy
" Great, first they say next 24 hours she is in danger, now 10 hours more and what next induced coma, awesome, " Kairav said with anger in his voice
"Try to understand, this is basic protocol,  we must follow this, now I suggest you all go home, and take a  rest, meanwhile we all are here to look after Dr aarohi," said Harshvardhan Birla
"I am taking others home, Akhilesh will stay till Kairav comes back," said Manish Goenka
"But I want to see my aaru," said a crying Mimi
"We will come back once she gains consciousness, mother. Otherwise, it will be overwhelming for her that you get sick because you were waiting to see her," explained Manish Goenka
"Ok beta, but call me first, whenever she gains consciousness, no matter what time is that," said Mimi 

This day became longer and longer for Neil,  he is waiting for his bhabhi to arrive soon, before aarohi woke up, this time Neil goes to her room to see her, with fewer machines around her, but still continuously beeping, she look a little bit better than yesterday,  but still so petite and tired, Neil is hoping she gets the rest her body needs, but at the same time he wanted her to wake up soon.
