It's almost 1 pm when she finally gets off from filing work, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have to go for rounds, that's what happened to you when you are an intern and took leave for two consecutive days
With this thought she left her shared cabin and walked toward the VIP wards, she finally checked her phone, there is a message in the family, Akshara must have shared her very amazing life, but she thought, totally ignored that text, she saw a message from Neil, but before she can open it ward boy called her out about something, she put her phone back into pockets and went to her work
She forgot about his text message until her phone rang, it was her break time (finally) so she take her phone out, only to find Neil calling her ( that rarely happens)
" Hello, chamgadar " she answered the call
" ohh deads are alive now," he said sarcastically
"Why are calling me," she said
" Because you were ignoring my texts " he replied in a normal tone
" I was busy, not ignoring, just didn't have time to open them till now" She answered honestly
" yeah, I figures, I was texting you about coming to my cabin, when you got time," he said calmly
" I am on my break right now, what do you want in your cabin," she asked him
" come to my cabin now then," he said Now like order
" it's better to be good " she hung up with that
As she entered his cabin she quickly, scan outside and closed the door immediately
" it's better not be some booty call," she said while entering his cabin
She stopped in mid-sentence as she saw him standing in front of his table
" That wasn't my intention, but now that you have mentioned that, we can afterward," he said while gesturing towards his table
She followed his hand to the table, she saw he spread out some food on the table, clearly a home-cooked meal, she can see some chapati and veggies on a plate, this isn't going to end well for her, she thought
" what's all this now? " She asked knowing well the answer
" Well, since it's your break, I thought as your friend, that you should have some lunch, and what could be better than my mother's handmade food," he said while pulling out the chair for her ( such a gentleman)
" your mother cooked for me? " She asked raising her eyebrows
"not, she always sends some extra food " he replied calmly now
"Well, my break is not that big, so don't have time for this " she while pointing at the food
"It won't take much time, now come sit," he said while grabbing both of her shoulders with both of his hands
" Neil, I am not hungry, I already had a coffee, before coming here," she said Now avoiding his gaze
" your break just started, and besides only coffee doesn't cut, you gotta eat," he said Now getting impatient
" Fine, I will have some," she said normally
" good," he said while settling her on a chair
" I will have something, but not here, I have to call at home, all must be waiting for my call," she said Now looking at him with pleading eyes
" Can you call them after," he said getting angry
" Well, I can't " with that she just folded a chapati and took it in her hand
"I am taking this," she said Now standing up and taking a small bite out of it
" yum," she said holding chapati in her hand and chewing slowly
She ran outside gesturing to him bye with her unoccupied hand, she ran so fast from there, Neil just followed her, he saw her near a garbage can, he stayed back, away from her vision, she looked around, after satisfaction no one is watching her, she threw that chapati and spit out the bite she takes, and ran from there. Neil saw all from afar, so angry with her actions.

He saw her now in Cafe, sipping her coffee, which she already had, how much a person can lie, Neil is so bothered by a lie at that time. He just went from there, before he could do something he would regret later

It was late in the evening now, she got a call, she saw the caller's name, and with a little duel with her mind, she picked up Neil's call
" Hello, chipkali can you come to my cabin now, " Neil asked
" I am busy right now, had to take rounds," she said, not wanting a surprise like earlier
"I have to leave, meet me before that," he said in a pleading voice
"Fine " coming in ten minutes she said
After good 15 minutes she entered his cabin
"You are late," he said without looking up as he was busy on his phone
"I got held up, now what it is? I have to leave " aarohi asked hurriedly
"Don't worry, it's not what you think" he said putting his phone aside now
"So what is it then," she asked getting impatient now
"When are you gonna be off from your shift," he asked looking at her now
" not in a while " she replied nonchalantly
" well I am about to leave, and before you comment about me being blessed or entitled, I completed my work, that's why I can leave" he raised while standing up from behind the table
" I wasn't going to comment on that, but why are you telling me this, is this part of you being a friend in private," she said with sarcasm
" how delusional are you that everything revolves around," he said while covering the distance between them
" me being delusional? " She asked raising her eyebrows
" leave this for an apartment, will you ?" He asked now standing in front of her
" so you summon me, just to letting me know that you can go home now," She asked now getting impatient
" Actually no, I summoned you here to give you this," he said while forwarding his hand
" a key," she asked taking a single key from his hand
" yes chipkali, a key to our apartment " He replied later realizing what he said
" I meant a key to the apartment we are currently staying in" he corrected himself
" and why are you giving me, when you are about to leave for that apartment we are currently sharing," she said full of sarcasm
" Because, I not going to the apartment, not before you, I am about to meet a friend of mine for some drinks, I will come late, so take this key," he said while shoving his hand into his pockets
" a friend?" She asked with raised eyebrows
" yes chipkali, I know how to make friends unlike you," he said with a wink
"Whatever " she rolled her eyes and leave from his cabin
