22.LET ME IN

After the whole night, of crying, tossing and turning in pain, aarohi finally slept, Neil called the doctor in the middle of the night, asking if he can bring her to the hospital, the doctor assured him, that won't help her, giving her more drugs and painkiller won't ever help her, she has suffered from all these symptoms
What she needs is to rest, and don't to give in to cravings, as much as the doctor puts it in the way she will be better, but after suffering physically, she has to suffer mentally too, and then comes the therapy, and she has to go for therapy.

At this point Neil is trying his best, to wrap around the situation, he is watching her sleep, her face facing him and she is snuggled into him, in a weird position, a position she finally can sleep in, she looked tired, even sleeping, there are red angry patches below her eyes, she cried the whole time she was awake.

Neil has so many questions to ask her, he decided he will, once she wakes up, and this whole truth, he has enough of her lies, Neil never meet anyone in his life, who lies this much, she lies to everyone around her, why would Neil even thought she could be saying truth this time, Neil isn't angry this time, he is hurt, he is trying everything to understand her, he is finding reason, why she wanted this for her, she knows this will be happening to her, she chooses to suffer
Neil is not hurt, he is feeling sick with the feeling of her choosing this over her life

Neil was also up with her most of the night, how can he sleep, when aarohi crying next to her clutching her stomach, so also feeling tired, now as much as she did, Neil fell asleep like that holding her a little his chest

Aarohi woke up with a groan, she is feeling more energy drained, the opposite of what a person should feel after a nap, she found herself alone in bed, she looked for Neil, from her bed, but couldn't locate him, but she remembered what happened last night, she wouldn't wake him up, if she can surpass the pain she was in, as much aarohi didn't want to bother him, she is exactly doing the same, she knew it could be happening to her at some point, but that's not her plan, she even had expiry date for all of this, before she could feel any of these pain, she wanted to go to sleep for forever, that was her plan

If she would have in her home, she would have taken those pills, no sign of withdrawal, and no fuss, but she can't even ask Neil about those pills, she didn't see her pouch, and since she was back here, he must have kept it, should I just ask him about that, or look around in his stuff, it must be here, in this very room
Aarohi was about to get up, when she remembered her promise to him, about taking it seriously, if he is making this much effort for a worthless girl like me, what I could do is honor his promise
Aarohi decides to go the bathroom, but her legs aren't supporting her, they feel like made rock, such a shooting pain, which immediately awakens the headache she had all day earlier, she hisses loudly when she puts all of her weight on her legs
"Ahhh, shit " yelled aarohi
Neil was in the hall cleaning when he heard a scream, scream from her, he immediately rush towards the room
" what happened " ask a worried Neil
"My body goes stiff, now blood is rushing into them " replied aarohi, taking slow steps
"Where are you going, do you need anything, I can get you here " ask Neil while taking her body Weight onto his shoulder
" I need to go the bathroom, can you bring it here," aarohi said looking at her, trying to smirk n but her facial muscle didn't move at all
" I can carry you there if that's work for you " Neil asking consent before lifting her weightless body
She just answered with her eyes
After Neil dropped inside the bathroom, he said "I am gonna stand outside, call me if you need me " said Neil moved out of the bathroom
" Can you not stand outside, it's embarrassing, I will call you when I need you, I will scream your name, but please no outside," she said in a pleading voice
" yeah, I am just down the corridor, in the hall" Neil replied

Neil now done with cleaning, move to the kitchen, making her fresh juice, while thinking about how to ask her, about so many things, meanwhile, he cooked some porridge for her, and he even ordered some medicine and injection, which the doctor prescribed for the case of potential overdosing if that happens again
Neil know he should believe her when, she said she didn't do that on purpose, but he can't overlook the fact, she intentionally poisoned herself, for how long, maybe it started after they start meeting in secret, or she is been taking those before that, and for how long, only a single person can answer all these questions, who is in the bathroom for so long, a scary thought cross his feature, his switched off the stove and goes outside the bathroom
He knocked twice, before speaking
"Aarohi, are you ok, it's been way too long "
"I am here, I will be out in a minute " the reply comes in a panting voice
Neil knew this doesn't sound normal, so for better judgment, he waited for, 1 min, 2,3 4, and 5 n before he knocked again
Aarohi immediately unlocked the door, she was all sweaty and breathing hard
Neil quickly enveloped her in his hand, and lift her and take her to the couch
Neil laid aarohi down on the couch, and stayed there, he puts her hair strand behind her ears, which was sticking on her face, with sweat all over it
"Should we move to room, it's maybe hot for you here " Neil said looking at her sweaty face
"I rather stay here, I am feeling cold right now"
Neil bought her blanket from the room, he thinks to himself this isn't confusing at all.
After a while, Neil didn't hear any sound from her, Neil thought she might fall asleep, Neil was working in the kitchen, warming breakfast for her, she need to eat something, for the sake of taking medicine
Just then Neil heard a sniffle, he thought he has mistaken it for something else, but there he hear it again so faintly
He ran towards aarohi, she had her whole body covered in a blanket, from head to toe, she looks so petite
He slowly pulled the cover off her face, aarohi had her eyes all close, but there were fresh tears below her eyes, she indeed was crying, Neil crouched down, and wipe those tears, she opened her eyes, and he noticed, her eyelashes are also wet with tears, some tears still rolling in it, looked like some pearl there, Neil skipped his heartbeat at that moment, she looked so tired, yet beautiful to him.
