He is currently in the doctor's cabin, while Abhimanyu is talking to a doctor on the phone, he is trying very hard to be composed while sitting there, I wanted to go, to check on her but she is in an emergency, getting her treatment and, he has to come to the doctor, he made his brother to talk to a doctor about her situation and also to handle all about keeping her identity hidden. The doctor handed his phone back to him and gestured that the phone was still on
"Hello, what did the doctor say to you? " Asked Neil as he walked out of the doctor's cabin
" he said, they are working on getting her breathing stable, and they flushed the Alcohol out of her system by putting her on IV," replied Abhimanyu
" How long is this gonna take?" asked Neil
" This is a serious case, Neil. She has to be there for a day," replied Abhimanyu, getting a little impatient
" I was talking about how long it's gonna take her to get her conscious back," asked Neil, a little afraid to know the answer to that
"As long it takes to get her vitals normal, could take hours," replied Abhimanyu, trying to understand Neil
"Bro, she is gonna be okay, right?" Asked Neil worriedly
" For now, Neil, she is gonna wake up, but before that, I need answers," asked an angry Abhimanyu
"I know, bhaiya, I owe you some answers," Neil said, letting out a sigh
" First, tell me, who is she?" Asked Abhimanyu
"I can't tell you that, I am gonna answer any other questions you want to ask, except this," said Neil, hoping his brother would understand
"Fine, not me, but why did you ask me to talk doctor, for not submitting her ID, the doctor is my friend that's why he agreed to take up this case, but you know how unethical it is, it's a case of potential overdosing, you understand what that means, a police case, and explain all the bruises, which were all over her body, you know you could be booked for all that, you have any idea what could have happened " now Abhimanyu is in full-blown anger
"I have an idea what you are talking about." The only answer he could conjure at that moment
"No Neil, you don't have any fucking idea, and what's with that not talking her to Birla hospital, you know very well we can deal with this case there better," asked Abhimanyu
"I couldn't take her there, she can get recognized there and I could too, with sir being there, I don't think I could do anything else " replied Neil now getting out of the hospital

"I don't know if she is taking those after consulting a doctor or not" replied Neil while almost running out of the hospital
" I don't know where she got those pills from or how long she is been taking that, I don't know if she did that on purpose or not, I don't know what to think or what not to, " Neil said all in one breath
" Neil, stop walking and breath, could you do that," said Abhimanyu in his best calming voice
Neil stopped, he ran out of the hospital, sat on a bench placed there and now taking deep breaths, he is so angry, so worried and so something, a feeling he can't even explain to himself let alone his brother
After some second pass, he pull out the cigarette he has, and light it up, and took a swig at it, before speaking
" I never asked about this to her, about prescription, I did ask about what are those for, and she answered me vaguely about that" Neil answered now a little calmly
" I get that, Neil did you at least inform her family, they have the right to know," asked Abhimanyu calmly
Neil thought about giving Goenka's call, but he couldn't, at least not knowing exactly what happened, if he calls there, then there is some good chance they will forbid him to talk to her, and even get her out of the hospital too, he saw her working very hard if her identity is out today, she might lose her license because of carelessness, as much he is angry with her, he can't do that to her, he has to wait till she wakes up, and will decide what to do next, call them or not
" not yet, but as soon as she wakes up, I will" answered Neil while taking puffs of his cigarette

"Well, Neil you are somehow responsible for her condition, and you still going with a friend, come on now you can tell the truth, at least to me" speaks a frustrated Abhimanyu
"Well, I wasn't lying at first, she is a friend to me," Neil said like he is convincing himself there
"Neil, our mother taught us to be
better than this, you should respect girls more, not just sleep with them and land them in the hospital," said Abhimanyu
"That's not what I was doing, we decided to be friends, it was a mutual decision, you know how I treat girls" Neil replied defensively, still smoking in between
Before Abhimanyu could say anything, a stranger came near Neil's bench and ask him if he can lend him his lighter, Abhimanyu heard him, Neil passed his lighter to that stranger and extinguished his cigarette, the guy thank you and goes to his merry way, Neil knew he had to answer his bhaiya about this too, he is just hoping he didn't hear it
"Neil, the things I wanted to protect you from, are exactly what you landed yourself into," said an angry Abhimanyu
"And what is that exactly," he said Dammwell know what he meant by that
"When did you pick up this habit, for how long have you been smoking, is it something you do daily, or just started recently, should we put you through so medicine or what?" Said a concerned brother
"Bhaiya, it's not a habit, just start doing this with all the work pressure, sir has been putting on me, and please don't tell mother or for a matter of fact don't say anything to sir, I promise I will quit this," said Neil genuinely
"First a friend, now this, Neil you should stay away from Friends like these, now I won't tell anyone about today if you promise me you gonna call her family and get the hell out of there," said Abhimanyu in a strict voice
"Bhaiya, I promise you I will quit, all of it, but please let me handle all of this first on my own," said Neil, he doesn't want to leave aarohi here, as he is angry with her
"I swear Neil if I want I could have details of that girl on my hands right now, but akshu told me, not to do that, she believes if you are not telling us means, it's serious and we should listen to you, otherwise Neil, I would have to make sure you wouldn't be there right now," said Abhimanyu still in frustration
"Did you tell bhabhi about this?" Asked a worried Neil
"I can't hide it even if I wanted to, she had the right to know if her brother-in-law calls so early in the morning," said Abhimanyu with sarcasm
" I am so sorry bhaiya, I don't know who to call at that moment, I panicked, I would not have disturbed you if it wasn't this serious," said Neil with guilt, easily could sense by Abhimanyu too
"I am glad Neil, you called, I am trying to get tickets, so we can come to you, as soon as possible," said Abhimanyu sincerely
"No bhaiya, don't come, I will manage now, I don't want to add another guilt to my current one, I don't want you to ruin your honeymoon for me, I promise I will be fine, it's rare vacation before the chaos you involve here, don't come," said Neil sincerely

" and I am sorry about earlier, I shouldn't have yelled at you like that, but I couldn't help it c said Abhimanyu in the softest voice

After that phone call, Neil still sitting outside, he know he should be inside, by her side, or maybe calling their families, but he just couldn't look at her face, he used to wish, when he met her initially that when she will be quite, her voice used to irritate him, but not listening to her voice today in the morning, it wasn't right, he doesn't want to go to her and pretend that, that everything will be fine, this can never be fine, she can never be normal, if she continues to live like she is living, he can't pretend he is so angry with her
Neil is thinking about what Abhimanyu's just told him, call her family and be done with her, not to call her, not to receive her call ( as if she had ever done that). Being friendly with her is not good for your mental health. But didn't he know this, before offering her his friendship, he is the one who is selling friendship to her, he should be blamed for this not her, he has to show up to her, no matter how hard it gets, he couldn't back out as much he needed to, but he can be angry with her because friends do show anger to each other
With this thought Neil entered the hospital, he went to the emergency room and asked about the patient he was with, the nurse took him to the side and lead her to vip room, she said the doctor asked them to shift her there because no one asks Id's there, he made a mental note to thank the doctor later, As much he wanted her face consequences of her actions, he doesn't want to snatch the thing which matters to her most, as a friend he owes her that much, he said he will wait outside her room, there is the comfortable couch is there, the nurse inform her that he can stay with her if he wants, he asked her, how long will take her to gain consciousness, she said Now her breathing and heart rate comes near normal, still, blood pressure fluctuations are rapid, atleast 3 to 4 hours, Neil thought about taking leave from the hospital, he has to inform sir now, Giving him some acceptable excuse, so he would accept his request and Don't drag her mother into this
