47. WHAT ARE YOU DOING

                                  Day 10:

Neil knew it late, as soon he woke up a dreading feeling settled inside him, remembering what just happened yesterday Neil thought about what worst can happen after that, he picked up his phone, which has a lot of missed calls from his bother and on top on that messages too, as he is about to read the message inspecting what's that is all about his phone vibrate again and this was a video call from his brother, knowing too well he is in no state of attending that video call, he simply let it ring until it stopped,  he thought he should look presentable enough so that he can call him back, with this Neil finally left the bed.
Neil walked past Aarohi's room only to find it empty, with the thought of searching for her whereabouts later Neil went on to go Bathroom,  he can smell how much he stinks right now.
As soon he came out of the bathroom, feeling a little decent first thing he did is locate Aarohi, he found her near the washing machine putting clothes inside but that is normal, what wasn't normal is Aarohi wearing her clothes and looking ready, all ready to go somewhere, Neil confused at first but he decided to ask instead of the guessing

"Are we going out today ?" asked Neil with a smile, a genuine one two
"oh hey, you finally awake," said Aarohi before going back to her work again
"That, I am" replied Neil now covering the distance between them
"you didn't answer my question,  did we plan on going out today ?" asked Neil again trying to get her attention
"Well to answer your question,  we are not going, I am going " replied Aarohi turning around to see his face
"you are going out?"Neil asked with a raised eyebrow
"yes I am, since you are up, I have to book my cab," said Aarohi going past him, but Neil hold her wrist to stop her from going inside the apartment
"Aarohi" Neil said softly, more like asked her to explain
"I tried to do as much I could, I even woke up early," said Aarohi not looking into Neil's eyes, which is searching her eyes
"I cleaned whatever I can, and put clothes in the washer, it does have your clothes mostly but some of mine too, so if possible for you, put it in my cupboard," said Aarohi while getting out his grip on her wrist
"you have to take out the trash though, and I think I have to book my cab now," said Aarohi before running inside her room, Neil kept on standing there for a minute not able to decide what his next move should be, after that, he too followed her to room, where she was taking out her bags from the cupboard
"come here help me a little, it's not closing," said Aarohi gesturing towards the door of the cupboard that just left ajar, Neil come towards the door to see what's the matter
After checking it he gets to the conclusion that the magnet is broken off the door, he will try to put it off later

"the magnet of this door is broken, will fix it later, how did it break this bad anyway," asked Neil to Aarohi who is now putting her stuff inside the drawer of her dressing table
"must be broken because I took the bag, it got stuck to it, so snatched it hard" explain Aarohi
"I will try to fix this," said Neil finally leaving the door open
"No hurry, I will not be needing it for a long time," said Aarohi  before leaving the room with bags in her tow
"Why are you leaving like this? you know na this is your apartment, I can leave if you want " said Neil following her out of the room.
"First it's our apartment get this in your head and me leaving nothing to do with you," said aarohi as she put her bag near the main door
"Why are you going then if it's our apartment? " asked Neil to aarohi who is coming towards him as he is standing in the corridor
"you already knew that I have to go, if not today then tomorrow it's inevitable," said aarohi as she passed him inside her room leaving him standing there
"then stay na, you can go tomorrow as planned why to change your plan all of a sudden," asked Neil still standing in the same position
"It's not all of a sudden Neil, I always  knew back in my head that it was coming soon," said aarohi coming out of her room with the small plant she had in her room
"I am taking mine with me, you should take care of yours too," said aarohi showing him the plant before putting it on top of her bag
"aarohi yaar, I am being serious about why you are leaving right now, can we at least talk about it first," asked Neil running his hand into his hair out of frustration
"I am serious too Neil, I was planning to leave first thing in the morning, but I know you deserve a goodbye so I stayed till now, and we did have a great talk yesterday remember," said aarohi as she came towards him
"that talk does not involve leaving me like this, you know how  much I dislike living here alone, without you," said Neil desperately
"you made it clear you don't want anything to do with me since I am getting married to someone else," said aarohi as she is standing in front of him, so close to him
"I did not say such a thing, you are taking that in the wrong way," said Neil taking a step towards her, making almost very little distance between the two
"so you are saying you are ready to be with me like you did before yesterday," asked aarohi as she slide her hand to his neck, to bring their forehead closer
"if you are leaving because of that then, I am ready, with you right and wrong I can let that go right here, right now, only you matter," said Neil breathing hard as they are just inches away from each other lips, and both have tears ready to spill from their eyes.
"Neil but I am not ready, you don't have to change for me or anyone else for that matter, you are a good person, Neil, don't ever change," said aarohi caressing his cheeks as she is trying to hold her tears back, she doesn't want to cry in front of him, she needs to act strong
"I don't want to be a good person, please stay with me here," asked Neil desperately
"you are making this hard for me to leave right now Neil," said aarohi trying to take her head back so she can escape Neil's gaze, it was very hard for her to stay close to him, this close to him
"then, please, please don't go" requested Neil holding her by the back of  her neck  lightly so she can't leave him
"it's too late now, my cab could be here any minute and Vansh Bhaiya is waiting for me in his villa," said aarohi trying to take a step back but stopped by his hold
"please one more day, please I am begging you, "said Neil as a tear finally escape his eyes, his grip tightening more
"Neil stop this madness, I already have plans for today with bhaiya, we are going shopping now, imagine going on a trip for 10 days and not getting gifts for anyone, I have to buy something for everyone now," aarohi said with a fake smile, trying to give him excuses and herself too, but Neil hold got more serious now.
"Neil I have to go now," said aarohi looking at his eyes filled with tears now
"no you can't leave me here, take me with you," said Neil softly but his grip isn't getting soft
"I can't do that, I have to go," said aarohi a little firmly as she is trying to get out of his hold using her hand this time
"When I can see you again then," asked Neil holding his tears to the bay
"See me now?" asked aarohi, she is trying to lose his grip but instead of that he tightened it more, now it was hurting her
"However you want, I promise I won't be complaining," said Neil now bringing his lips to hers, but aarohi tilt her head a little so she can avoid his lips
"I can't see you anymore like this, but I promise I will be try to civil with you from now on and  we can become friends, only friends nothing else," said aarohi while cupping his face
"ok if that's what you want, then I can be your friend," said Neil once again trying to capture her lips, this time aarohi put her hand on her lips, she wanted to kiss him, but she know she won't be just stopping there, then she needs more which exactly what Neil shouldn't need, he is already in her mess, she doesn't need him to stay there if it's his chance to have a drama free life then who is she to snatched that from him.
Her phone rang, meaning her cab is there, but Neil isn't letting her go to even go near to her bag to grab her phone
