LIV WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING WITH A RUINED BANDAGE AND AN ACHING ARM. She yawned as she sat up, finding herself in one of JJ's t-shirts and a pair of sleep shorts. The night before was a bit of a blur, but she remembered tending to her wound with neosporin and wrapping it up with the proper bandages.

She looked to the right side of the bed, seeing a glass of water and some pills sitting there. The redhead smiled softly as she sat on the edge of the bed and grabbed the pills first, setting them in her mouth. Then she took the glass, lifting it up and swallowing enough to help the pills go down. Liv rubbed her temples as she stood up, breathing deeply as she walked across the room to the closed door.

Opening the door made a loud creaking noise, alerting JJ and John B who had been sitting on the porch. They rushed into the house, meeting a sleepy Liv in the middle. "Morning, boys." She spoke, her voice raspy, as she rubbed her eyes. The movement of her left arm made her wince, and she dropped it back down to her side almost immediately. Looking down to see the bloodied bandage, she huffed out a puff of air. "Oh, shit."

"Here, uh, let's change that." JJ said as he moved towards her, gently grabbing her uninjured arm and leading her to the bathroom.

He closed the door behind them, gesturing for Liv to hop onto the counter. She tries to with her one good arm, but miserably failed, letting out a sigh of frustration. JJ holds in a laugh as he takes her hips and turns her to face him again, then lifts her onto it with ease. Liv looks down to hide the embarrassment on her face, while JJ just bit his lip to contain his smile.

Liv holds the sleeve of her shirt up, fully exposing the ruined bandage to the blond. He bent his head down to be level with her arm and slowly started to remove it, muttering small sorries when the girl would grimace.

As he worked on cleaning the wound and reapplying the neosporin, he would glance up at her to make sure she was doing okay. "How are you feeling?" He asked, his eyes stuck on her arm and his words geniune.

"I'm... okay. I think the advil is kicking in, and the shock has worn off." Liv nodded, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear. JJ nodded back in response, grabbing the bandage roll from next to her and tearing off a new piece. Liv watched him as he concentrated, admiring his features. She watched how his tongue would poke out to the side and how one eye would squint as he tried to make sure everything was perfect. "I'm sorry." She said quickly, making JJ stop and look up at her with a confused expression. "For, uh, I don't know— being stupid yesterday and getting myself shot at."

The boy just shook his head, going back to applying the bandage. "Don't be sorry. You stopped them from catching up to us. It's just a battle wound. Makes you look badass." JJ smiled, securing the bandage and then looking up to catch Liv's eyes. She was staring at him with so much admiration that he almost flinched.

JJ swallowed, his throat now feeling dry, as he stood up to his full height. Her eyes never left his as he did so, almost as if she was caught in a trance. "We just, well, we were worried. That's all. We care about you." JJ caught the tiniest smile on Liv's face, and spoke before he could think about his next words. "I care about you."
