IT WAS A SUNNY MORNING WHEN THE POGUES TOOK OUT TO SEA. With gold on their minds, the teens sailed through the water with a positive outlook. Liv leaned against the side of the boat as they reached their destination.
"All right ladies and gentlemen. To going full Kook." John B spoke as he lowered the drone into the waves below.
Kiara and Liv were the ones in charge of continuing to lower the drone and keeping track of how far it had gone. As Kiara pushed more and more tether into the water, Liv marked down how much they had gone down.
"All right JJ, we're right over it. Ten seconds northwest." JJ repeated John B's words back to him, doing just as he was told.
"One hundred feet." Kiara called, and Liv marked a tally onto the boat to keep record.
They kept going, Pope keeping watch on the drone livestream as the girls kept feeding the tether into the water. Once they reached 400 feet, Liv quickly switched off with her friend and was now the one releasing the tether down.
"The tide's turning, y'all." Liv said, keeping her eyes on the water.
JJ started to turn the boat, leading them back to the pinned location. A brutal storm started to roll in, causing unsteadiness in the boat and the drone. "Keep the tether out of the prop!" JJ yelled back, knowing the wind was picking up.
"I'm trying my best here!" Liv shook her head, pulling on the tether. She kept releasing it down, reaching 700 feet after a few moments. Liv heard the thunder above her, but kept doing her job, planting her feet on deck as best as she could. The waves bounced the boat up and down, the storm making itself known. The anemometer was spinning like crazy, and Liv's hair was smacking her face relentlessly, the strands of hair stinging her cheeks.
"900 feet!" The redhead called over the thunder, trying her best to keep the tether firm in her grip. "There's a ton of current, guys!"
John B kept calling out orders to JJ, the blond obliging. As Liv got closer and closer to the end of the tether, the storm only got worse. When she reached the end, Pope was able to see the bottom of the ocean— and then a shipwreck came into view. The teens huddled around the monitor, watching as the drone swept across the Royal Merchant.
But there was no gold.
Sighing, Liv moved into the cockpit with JJ and leaned up against the wall. She still had hope that the gold was somewhere, but she had no idea how they were going to find it.

The crew seperated after their early morning adventure, with JJ and Liv going off together as they always did. JJ brought them to his place, sneaking in first to make sure his dad wasn't there. When he found that the coast was clear, he held the door open for the girl, letting her inside.
Liv went straight to his room, laying down face first in his bed. "I'm so tired," She spoke, her voice muffled by the sheets. She felt the bed dip beside her, and turned her head to find her blond friend mirroring her position, but he was on his back instead of his stomach.
