RAIN POURED DOWN ONTO THE CREW AS THEY FOUND THEMSELVES ACROSS FROM THE MEETING SITE. With the hood of JJ's jacket securely over her head, Liv stood in between Kiara and Pope. A camera was held up over the fence they hid behind by Pope, focusing on the construction site ahead of them.

"Nice camera. Where'd you dig up that relic?" JJ asked, rain dripping down his face. "Why don't you just use your phone?"

Pope turned to his left, furrowing his brows. "Well, first of all, I like my antic electronics. Second of all, this is a telephoto. It allows me to get a close image from far away."

"Lord of the dorks," Kiara comments, rolling her eyes playfully.

"For definitive proof of witness payoff, we're gonna need quality glass," Pope shrugged. "There he is," He whispered, nodding in the direction of Ward Cameron. The teens sunk down a little lower, covering themselves from sight. "And there's Gavin," Pope said as the man ran in from the other direction. Gavin followed Ward into the building, completely hiding them from the street. "No, no, no. I'm losing him! Shit. Where's he going?"

JJ was suddenly running back into the alley, Liv curiously watching him as he looked around. "Hey, I found something. Come here," He motioned for them to follow, which they did, as they weren't getting any footage from their current position. He showed them a wall that had a ladder attached, pointing up to it as he ran towards it. "That'll work."

As the blond climbed up, the others followed right behind. "Hurry. Don't wanna miss anything," Kiara said as she went up the ladder.

The crew all crouched down behind the ledge of the building, zoning in on the two men. After confirming that Pope was getting the footage, they stayed silent for a moment as the thunder and lightning surrounded them. "Ward just handed Gavin something. I think it's a duffel bag," Pope said as he watched through the camera.

"Guys, I think this is a payoff," JJ furrowed his brows.

"What the fuck," Liv said under her breath, her eyes on the construction. She fixed her hoodie so it would cover her face more as the rain fell down into her eyes. She felt her hair falling in front of her face and tried to push that back as well, only to be stopped by JJ reaching out and tucking her hair back himself. She gave him a small smile as he attempted to wipe some of the water off her face— which he ultimately failed at considering his own hands were wet from the rain as well.

"Gavin doesn't look hapy about something. It looks like he's yelling at Ward." Kiara questioned Pope's narration, and he replied, "I don't know, but he sure looks mad."

A few moments passed before it looked like Gavin and Ward were starting to physically fight, catching the attention of all the teens. Pope continued to tell them what he was seeing through the camera, while the others kept asking questions about what was happening. Liv watched through blurry vision as the men fought within the construction site.

"Holy shit. Ward's got a gun," Pope exclaimed.

Kiara nodded. "I bet that's the murder weapon."
