WAKING UP FOR SCHOOL ON MONDAY MORNING WAS ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL. Liv had spent the night prior alone for the first time in a while. When JJ told her he was going back to his place Sunday night, she was fine with it and completely understood. He left her with a sweet goodbye kiss and a promise that he would be back in the morning.
The pair hadn't exactly defined their relationship, as they didn't feel the need to just yet. They both knew they only wanted each other and that was enough.
Her alarm went off at 6:45am, giving her thirty minutes to get ready before Kiara and Pope came to pick her up. JJ would hopefully arrive at her house at 7:10 so he could also ride with them. She rolled out of bed and made her way to the bathroom, brushing her hair and teeth before putting on her daily moisturizer.
Next she picked out her outfit— a pair of mom jeans with a lavender knitted tank top, with white converse on her feet. She didn't care too much about how she dressed for school, so Liv just threw on whatever was comfortable. And she knew inside the building would be pretty cold, so the girl figured jeans would be bearable enough.
A faint knock on her bedroom window made her instinctively jump at the noise. She turned and went to open the curtain, revealing a smiling blond teen on the other side.
Liv felt her lips curve into a smile as well, and she quickly unlocked the window and opened it so JJ could climb in. She walked over to her desk, going to grab her bracelets, but was spun around by the boy who'd just climbed in.
JJ wasted no time before he bent down and kissed the girl, one of his hands on her hip and the other on her face. "Missed you," He mumbled against her lips before going in for another kiss. Liv smiled into it, holding her hands flat on his chest.
"Good morning to you, too," She teased as she stepped back to her desk.
As she grabbed her favorite bracelets, Liv shook her head lightly. She couldn't believe this was real life, that someone like JJ actually liked her back. Turning around, the girl found JJ laying face down on her bed.
Rolling her eyes, Liv walked over and crouched down directly in front of his head. "JJ..." She drawls, prompting the boy to lift up his head. He meets her gaze with tired eyes, a pout on his lips. Reaching her hand out, Liv pushes back the hair that had fallen over his forehead and a bit over his eyes. She tilted her head as a soft smile graced her lips.
"Hi."
"Hi," The girl responds. Liv swore she could feel her heart melting as the tired boy stared back at her with a lazy grin that made his dimples visible.
The honking of a car horn made JJ groan as Liv stood up from her spot. "Time for school, Blondie. Let's go." She grabbed her backpack and slung it over her shoulder, then turned around to offer a hand to JJ. Reluctantly, he rolled off the bed and grabbed the binder ( and flask ) he'd placed on the nightstand when he entered.
Taking her hand, JJ followed Liv as she brought them through the house and up to the front door. He tugged on her hand before she could open it, making her spin around with a confused expression. His eyes flickered to her lips then back to her eyes— an action he repeated once more. With a small smile, Liv stood on her tiptoes and gave the blond a quick kiss on the lips.
