THE CREW HAD SPENT THE MORNING FIGURING OUT THE DRONE. As they played around with the settings and the controls, Liv found herself laying in the hammock alone. The sun beat down on her face as she swung slightly from side to side, her forearm resting on her forehead.

Liv's mind was racing with thoughts of the night before, confusion being the most intense emotion. The girl was still processing the fact that she had feelings for someone— and the fact that that someone was her best friend. Of course, she had felt sparks and small feelings when she would have a fling at one of the parties she attended. But nothing was quite as strong as what she started feeling for JJ. Even though it freaked her out, Liv was on a mission to appear as unbothered as possible.

"Livvy."

The redhead heard her name in a whisper, close to her right ear. She cracked her eyes open, immediately bringing her hand up to cover the sun. JJ was crouched next to her, but stood to block the sun when she opened her eyes. Liv smiled as she lowered her hand and was able to open her eyes fully. "Yes?"

JJ cleared his throat before speaking again. "Uh, Pope and I were gonna head over to Heyward's and help his dad out with some grocery runs. You want in?"

Liv sighed, "But this hammock is so comfy..." Her words trailed off, and she pouted her lips as she looked up at the blond.

The boy rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. "You'll get some extra cash."

"I'm in."

JJ broke out into a wide grin and offered his hand for Liv. She took it, pulling herself out of the hammock and onto her feet.

The trio made their way to Heyward's, meeting Pope's father at the dock. They climbed into the man's boat, and started an assembly line to bring the grocery bags onboard.

"You kids get these groceries over to Figure Eight. Get straight back here when you're done. No fishin'." Heyward spoke as he passed the bags to them. "I promised delivery by this afternoon. Rich folks don't wanna wait for you lazy sons of bitches."

Liv raised an eyebrow at the blond teen as he held his hands out for the last of the bags ever so politely. "No worries, Heyward. I'm a certified babysitter." She grinned, making the man shake his head.

"Yeah, yeah. Get on, now."

The girl gave Heyward a salute as Pope sat in the driver's seat and started to drive the boat out from the dock. The teens situated themselves for their drive to the other side of the island, Liv occupying herself with the loose strands on her jean shorts.

"Doesn't even look like the storm hit there." Pope's voice brought Liv out of her head, and she turned to look over to the pristine looking houses to the right.

"That's because they got generators, bro. Get used to it. And then they say the juice will be out all summer at the Cut." JJ shook his head.

Liv bit her lip, her brows scrunching together in thought. She thought about how nice it would be to live there, and how a lot of her problems would be solved if she did live there.
