I walk upon rusted gears that were once part of those now forgotten days.
A past that I cherish but will soon slowly forget, in the stillness I simply live.
Time is both mystifying yet cruel, as it both gives and takes away.
Within this mechanical world, what once was beautiful is now rusting away.
The flowers we loved are now raw gems of days that may cease to exist.
Now that you are gone, for I rather hear the cacophony of the machines then the silence that is unbearable without you.
As the wind moves the still air, faintly your presence is there right beside me.
Within the warmth of the sun, the soft light of the moon, and the stars that have watch us since our birth.
What was once filled with joy and memories so precious, is now only emptiness.
In this rusting world you cease to exist and what we did together is now only a reflection of once was.
If I could use these rusted gears, and the machines left behind.
I would rebuild what once was lost within time's embrace.
My memories are slowly fading, my time in this artificial and polluted world will come to an end.
If I could repeat those days with you, I would give everything up.
Because without you, I rather not live in an unbearable future.
A future that without you, would not bring me the true happiness that you brought me.
So long ago, in time that has become part of those forgotten days.
