Chapter 31
    Ren POV
"Shit!" I curse under my breath and recline on my chair as her image replay in my head for the umpteenth time. Just why the fuck can't I get her image off my head? She has been living in my head since I saw her like that yesterday. Just what the fuck is going on?
The sound of the knock on the door pulls my attention, and I raise my gaze to find her standing there with a heap of files in her hand. The once disgusting Lilian now looks so sexy in my eyes, and I can't seem to stop myself from thinking about her. Did she cast a spell on me for fuck's sake?
"Come in," I usher her in, and the door opens as she walks in elegantly. Her robust body is graced in a black suit and her hair is falling freely over her shoulders as usual. She has very light makeup on her face, and she looks extremely beautiful, or maybe it's just me hallucinating.
"Good morning, Sir. Here's your schedule for the week, and the files you asked me to get for you," She says as she drops the files on the desk.
"Hmm," I just nod my head, looking everywhere else except her direction. I think I'm losing my mind right now.
"You may leave now," I say to her, and she bows before she walks out of my office.
"Shit!" I curse under my breath for the umpteenth time, raking my fingers through my hair.
My phone suddenly starts ringing, and I reach out for it. A strange number is displayed on the screen, and I pull a puzzled look while trying to recognize the phone number that I'm just seeing for the first time.
"Who is this?" I mumble before I slide the answer button while waiting patiently for the person to start the conversation.
"Hey, this is Tyler, Tracy's kid brother," The familiar sounds from the other end, and I furrow my eyebrows. It's the first time Tyler has ever called me, and I don't know if I should be happy or disappointed that he called. I mean, he never liked me all the time I was dating his sister because of some reason best known to him, and to think that he's calling me now, makes me feel uncomfortable.
"Tyler?" I call to be sure that I didn't hear wrong.
"May I have a word with you later?" His voice doesn't give me a hint of what must be the reason he wants to see me, but I nod my head as if he can see me.
    "What do..."
"It's not something we can discuss over the phone. Let's meet later. I'll send you the address, and I'll make sure that I make it convenient for you, I promise," He cuts me off, and I squint my eyes suspiciously. I think something is up.
"Sure. Text me the address and the time. Bye," I say before the call finally drops dead, and I drop my phone on the desk, releasing a deep sigh afterward.
'Tracy' her name ring in my head and I sigh deeply as I recline on the chair and stare up at the ceiling. How has she been feeling without me? Is she fine now that we already broke up? Has she gotten another boyfriend yet? Those are the questions that keep running through my mind until my door suddenly burst open, and I snap my head up to see my bastard best friend, Leo walk in.
"You can actually knock on the door, you know?" I roll my eyes as I sit up on the chair, glaring hard at him.
"But I chose to barge in. Do you have any problem with that?" He smirks at me as he pulls out a chair and sits on it, and I roll my eyes at him.
"Whatever! Why are you here? It's too early for a visit, don't you think?" I say to him, and he shrugs.
"I know, but I chose this time. By the way, you didn't tell me your wife is now working as your secretary. When did you start keeping secrets from me?" He glares at me, and I roll my eyes at him.
    "She's not my wife..."
"You got married to her at the villa, how dare you deny her now?" He glares hard at me, and I scoff. I should've known that my friend is a mood spoiler that always does nothing but gets on my nerves.
    "Just stop it, Leo..."
"Come on, sweetheart. Don't be like that," He rolls his eyes as he spills those disgusting words to me.
"What the...! What did you just say? Me? Sweetheart? Fuck you, Leo. How many times do I need to tell you to stop calling me that? If you want to practice gayism, don't involve me you brat!" I snap at him, and he rolls his eyes.
"Whatever! By the way, your secretary is hot today. Did you notice that? She's super pretty with that robust body. I feel like kissing those sexy lips of hers, shit!" He says dreamily, and I slowly clench my fists as I feel strange anger rushing through my vein.
"Did you come here to talk about my secretary or for something else?" I snap at him, and he flinches. A thin line appears between his eyebrows, and I bet that I know what he's thinking right now. Why the hell did I spill those shits?
"Are you jealous?" He blinks his eyes a couple of times, and I scoff. Is he kidding me right now?
"You must be out of your mind, Leo. Why the hell do you think that I will be jealous because of her? You must be out of your mind," I scoff as I suddenly become nervous. Deep inside me, I can still feel the anger I felt moments ago when he was praising her. Get yourself together, Ren! You just fucking saw her like that once, what's this fuss supposed to mean?
"Whatever! Let's not talk about that for now. So, how about Tracy? Have you heard from her yet?" He asks, and I release a deep sigh.
"I don't want to talk about her," I reply to him dismissively. Can't he get that I'm trying to get her off my mind? Now that he mentioned her, I recall his brother calling a few minutes ago, so I reach out for my phone to check if he has sent the address of the time and time we're supposed to meet.
"What are you doing? Are you about to get busy?" He asks as he watches me go through my phone.
"Stop being so meddlesome and get the hell out of my office, Leo," I say to him, while still having my eyes glued to the phone.
"Whatever! Anyway, let's hang out tonight if you're not busy. Kayden is coming too," He says to me, and I nod my head. Not that I'm planning to go out with them later though, but telling him that is as good as dead because I know he won't leave here not until he's sure that he has persuade me to go with them.
"At the usual place," He says as he stands up to his feet.
"Sure, I will join you guys later," I say to him, and he scoffs.
"Don't try shit with me, Ren. If you don't show up later, I'll find you wherever you are. Take note of that," He threatens me before he turns and exits my office. Fuck! I have forgotten that my friend is a bloody hacker that can easily get my location. How the hell did I even get to know this bastard?
My phone suddenly beeps, pulling me back to reality and I check it to see that it's a text from Tyler. It's the address of the place and the time we should meet.
Staring at the text on my phone, I can't help but ask myself what he wants and why he wants to meet me, but one thing I'm convinced about is that this meeting has something to do with Tracy. Well, I'll find out later...
