Guys! Daily update starts for this book starting today. I'm sorry for taking time, but we are back now

Chapter 62
Ren POV
It's ridiculous how I'm still trying to hang around her when she already made it clear to me that she doesn't want me, but trust me, there's no way in hell I was ever going to give up on us. I mean, I won't ever do that.
"You are just wasting your time, man," my subconscious mind reminded me as I packed up the food I just made in the kitchen, but I quickly dismissed the thought. I was ready to murder any bad energy and negative thinking, giving myself all the hope I could gather even though it didn't seem like it was going to work.
"This is ridiculous, Ren. You are going to humiliate yourself," again, my subconscious mind said to me, but I rolled my eyes dramatically and walked out of the kitchen, heading to my room to have a quick bath, and once I was done, I got dressed and went to check myself out in the mirror. Being clad in a pair of Gucci black trousers, and an expensive Valentino button-down shirt that was gifted to me on my last birthday by Rena, and I styled my hair.
"Perfect," I couldn't help but admire the creation staring right back at me because I had everything that would make any woman fall head over heels for me, but you see Lilian? It would take the grace of God for her to notice me. Ugh! Why can't I charm her?
"You got on her bad side first, man. You should clear your mess," it was as if a voice spoke in my head, so I sighed and sprayed some perfume on my body, applied a little cologne, and finally walked out of the room after I picked up my car keys and my phone from the bed where I kept them earlier.
Arriving at the kitchen, I grabbed the food flask and headed to the parking lot outside. Cooking for her was the worst thing I could think of, but still, I wanted to give it a shot. Who knows, she may give me a chance to even see her.
The drive to the hospital didn't take me much time before I arrived, but I was shocked to find out that she was not there. I found a young lady in the ward when I walked inside, whom I assumed to be one of the nurses. She seemed to have just finished giving the man injection.
"Excuse me? Where is Lilian?" I asked her after we exchanged greetings.
"She went out," she replied to me before she left the ward, leaving me here alone to figure out where she went. Many thoughts came conflicting on my mind as I tried to search myself for answers, but couldn't. It was unlike her to leave her dad alone, so I was left debating on it.
Pushing all my thoughts away, I walked over to sit on the chair beside the bed, waiting for her.
I thought she would be back earlier, but an hour passed and there was no sign of her, and soon, it was over three hours since I'd been here and waiting for her. For a moment, I wanted to call her, but quickly decided against the idea. What if she ignored my call? What if she thinks that I'm disturbing her? I asked myself, so I decided to keep it cool and just wait for her.
It was finally 3pm, about five hours since I'd been here, and the door finally opened and someone walked inside. I tilted my head to find out that it was her. She was fully dressed which only meant that she was coming from somewhere important.
"Ren... You're here?" She smiled at me, although she looked nervous. I took just a few seconds to check her out, and somehow, I was jealous of the eyes that saw her before she got here.
"Hmm..."
"Have you been here for long? Why didn't you call me?" She asked, obviously feeling bad.
"No, I just got in here. I thought you had gone out to get something, so I decided to wait for you here," she replied to me, and I nodded my head.
"Oh, alright,"
"Did you eat anything yet? We could go to the restaurant near here and get something to eat," I said to her since the food I brought earlier was already cold and won't be delicious enough. I had plans to throw it into the trashcan later.
"I'm fine. I just had something to eat," she replied to me, and I guess it was another rejection again.
"Alright. Do you want to take a walk?" I asked her, pushing my luck.
"I'm sorry, I'm a bit tired, and won't be able to go out with you," she declined, and I slowly nodded my head.
"Alright..." I had no idea what to say again, so I just tucked my hands inside my pockets and sighed briefly.
"Uhm... I will be on my way now," It was awkward carrying the food flask, so I just said to her and left. It broke my heart to be rejected and get it shoved in my face, but what could I do? If I really wanted her, then I should earn her, right? I should do everything in my power to get her to be mine, yeah?
It was already 4pm by the time I left the hospital, so I just drove to the lake to clear my head, and it worked because I was the only one that went to the lake. The lake was a beautiful sight to behold, and the fresh air here was enough to make anyone forget their pain, and it was already doing the magic for me. I sat on the bridge, leaving my legs hanging in mid-air while feeding my eyes with the eye-soothing sight in front of me. It was necessary to have taken pictures here for memories, but memories weren't so much treasure and I wasn't even in the mood for that now.
The sound of my ringing phone pulled my attention, and I groaned before I brought out the phone from my pocket, and realized the caller was my friend, Leo. It has been a while since we last talked.
"Hey, man," His cheerful voice sounded from the other end.
"Yeah, what's up?" I rolled my eyes, waiting to end the call because I was definitely not in the mood to crack jokes with him as usual.
"Is that how you are going to talk to your best friend? We haven't talked in a while, dude. You should be..."
"I'm not in the mood for that now, man. Are you going to say why you call, or should I hang up?" I cut him off, and heard him scoff.
"You are so ungrateful. Anyway, I just called to ask how you're doing over there. When are you coming back?" He asked me, and I sighed.
"I don't know yet, but that'll definitely be very soon. Let's talk later, man. I need to attend to something," I said hurriedly and hung up before he would have many reasons to be on the phone for thirty minutes.
I was about to keep my phone inside my pocket when it beeped with a text displayed on the screen.
'Having you here earlier felt awkward and made me feel like you are stalking me. I don't know what you feel for me, and I don't want to know if it's genuine or not, but I'll appreciate it if you'll learn to stay away from me and stop showing your face to me. You are making things hard for me than it already is, and I'm pleading with you to please stop. ~Lilian' I read through the annoying text and scoffed. I know I was being a desperate jerk at this moment, I was starting to be a stalker, but still, I didn't care. I love her, and just like I always go for what I want no matter the risk, she wasn't going to be an exception...
