TRAGEDY TO TREASURE (COMPLETED)

Chapter 3

After Abhishek left.

Vaishnavi was sitting in her room. She was shivering because of fear.

Vaishnavi: Shant ho jao vaishu shant. Vo tujhe kuch nahin karega. Calm down. You are safe. You are safe.

Voice: Sab theek hain. Koi kuch nahin karega. Sab theek hain. You are safe. You are good. Nothing is wrong calm down. Calm down. You are strong. You are a fighter. Don't cry.

Vaishnavi looked up Of course, no one was around but she felt relaxed. She closed her eyes.

Voice: Very good. Pani pio and calm down. You are safe now. Calm down. You are strong. Really strong. Calm down. Drink water come on.

Vaishnavi followed those words and did. She calms down after drinking water. She decided to go out and check on Abhishek.

She went out of the room and saw the maid cleaning the living area.

Vaishnavi (looking around): Aunt, where is he?

Maid: He left for office. He asked me to inform you to be ready at 7. He will come to pick you up.

Vaishnavi: Okay aunt.

Maid: You go and take a rest. I will leave in 2hrs after completing all the work.

Vaishnavi (nervous): I can help you.

Maid: No beta. You are a new bride. Take rest. You should spend some time with sir... Umm.... but you take rest. I will see here.

Vaishnavi nodded and went back into the room. She lay on the floor and felt relaxed. Soon, she fell into a deep slumber of sleep.

Skips to evening.

Abhishek came home. He saw Vaishnavi ready. He noticed her wearing a heavy saree and accessories. He sighed in frustration and went to his room. In a few minutes. He got ready and came back.

Abhishek: Let's go.

Vaishnavi nodded. They went to Abhishek's parents' home.

As they reached there. Abhishek's mother stopped them at the doorsteps. She did their aarti and let them in.

They went in to see guests present there. Everything was arranged for a Pooja. Abhishek ignored all the guests. He went and sat for Pooja.

Vaishnavi was with his mother. His mother was introducing Vaishnavi. Vaishnavi was taking blessings and meeting guests. Vaishnavi was scared and nervous.

After an hour or two. Pooja ended.

Rehana: Navin ji aap sab gents dinner kar le. Arrangements ho gayi hain.

Navin nodded and took all the male guests for dinner. Abhishek glanced at Vaishnavi to see her busy with ladies. His mother was beside her. He too went for dinner.

Here, with ladies. Ladies singing, and dancing was going on. Vaishnavi sat silently looking at everyone.

After sometime. Males came back after dinner.

Navin: Tum sab bhi jaa kar dinner kar lo or kitna naach gaana bhai?

Rehana: Bahut hoga nach gaana. Mere bete ke shaadi hui hain. Humare ghar me nach gaana to chalta hi rahega.

Lady (from function): Bhaiya... Rehana bhabhi sahi to bol rahi hain. Mushkil se Abhishek shaadi ke liye mana hain. Ye to jashan ka samay hain. Double jashan ka ek to iski shaadi or dusra vo musibat-

Abhishek (cuts her, shouts): Enough!! Abhishek shaadi ke liye mana hain. Aapko haq nahin hain koi uske khilaf kuch bolne ka. Aaj jitna bol diya that's more than enough. Iske baad ek or word bola bhul jauga sab or jo haal karuga uske baad. Mind these words "NOT A WORD"

Because of his shout, every person trembled present over there.

Abhishek: We are leaving.

He announced holding Vaishnavi's hand and taking her out of there. His mother called him a few times but he didn't pay any heed.

They both left from there. As Abhishek was fuming in anger. Vaishnavi was more scared. She was praying in mind for her safety.

Soon, they reached home. Abhishek directly went to his room and closed the door. Vaishnavi too went into her room.

With Abhishek.

He went towards the cupboard to take liquor. But all he found empty. He threw an empty bottle in anger. He took a cigarette and lighter. He was trying to lighten the cigarette but unfortunately, the lighter was not in his support.

He was angry and was trying his best to lighten the cigarette. He threw a lighter too in anger and lay on the bed, taking deep breaths.
