TRAGEDY TO TREASURE (COMPLETED)

Chapter 7

A week roll away. In this week. Abhishek and Vaishnavi used to have breakfast and dinner together in complete silence. There is no improvement in their friendship.

Vaishnavi started feeling good, comfortable and happy. She noticed Abhishek's behavior in this week. He is quite simple and silent person. She noticed he is hiding something very huge. She got to know he is drinking and smoking alot. His eyes are red most of the time. While breakfast, she can sense smell of alcohol and smoke.

After a week....

It was Sunday evening. Abhishek was in room busy in laptop. Vaishnavi was kitchen preparing dinner. She was fully focused on chopping vegetables when she heard a sob. She walked out of kitchen to see Abhishek crying, he covering his mouth with his hands to control the sob. Door of his room was closed but a bit open

Vaishnavi: What's wrong with him? If I will step out. He will act like everything is fine. He saw an emotional scene in movie that's why he cried a bit. But since morning this is going on. Actually not morning but yesterday. Yesterday too when he was home and locked himself in room. Whenever, he is home he is locking himself and crying. Should I ask him? No no... He clearly said not to interfere in his personal life. So, I should keep mum. I don't want to lose this safe and secure life. I will not hurt him.

She again walked in kitchen and continued preparing. After cooking, she went towards Abhishek's room. She knocked the door. A few minutes she waited for him to open the door. He opened the door.

Vaishnavi: Dinner is ready!

Abhishek (nasal voice): Okay! I am coming.

Vaishnavi noticed tear stains on his cheek. She felt his eyes were red and seems heavy.

Vaishnavi (concern): You were crying? Is everything okay? I mean since yesterday you are crying.

Abhishek (rude tone): Nothing... None of your business.

He went and sat on dinning. Vaishnavi sat beside him silently. They started their dinner.

Abhishek: I am sorry for being rude. I am sorry.

Vaishnavi nodded. They had dinner in silence.

Abhishek's POV: Why I was rude with her. She is not at fault. She is totally unaware of everything. And she asked me because of her concern. What I am doing yaar.

Abhishek: Would you like to watch movie?

He asked trying to act normal.

Vaishnavi: Umm... Okay.

Abhishek: I will bring laptop.

Abhishek went in room. Vaishnavi cleaned dinning. They both sat on sofa to watch movie. They started watching a movie.

After few minutes. Abhishek's phone rang.

Abhishek: I will be back in few minutes.

Vaishnavi: Hmm....

Abhishek paused the movie and went in his room to attend the call.

Vaishnavi was silently sitting in living area.

Voice: Now check his laptop. You may find why he was crying.

Vaishnavi heard voice and her eyes were wide open. She looked around to find no one like always.

Vaishnavi: No! He said don't interfere in personal life. I shouldn't.

Voice: But he is in problem. You can solve that problem only if you will get to know what's the problem. You saw him looking at laptop screen when he was crying. So, go ahead. He needs you.

Vaishnavi thought for a minute and took his laptop. She shut the window on which movie was going on.

Her eyes fell on a folder "REEM". She looked at screen for few seconds before pressing button to open it.

She saw a few photos in folder before she could see more a muscular hand snatched laptop from her hand. She shivered in fear because of sudden action.

Abhishek: How dare you to interfere in my personal life? Wasn't I clear on that day?

Vaishnavi (scared): I was trying to help you.

Abhishek (shout): I fucking don't need your help.

Vaishnavi trembled because of his shout.

Abhishek (angrily): What help you can do for me? Nothing... Are you getting my point you can't do anything for me. I am not blaming you for anything because I know you are not at fault. So, I asked you to be away from me. Still you like to interfere in my personal life. You want to know what's going in my life. You want to help me na? Then let me tell you.

He placed laptop in front of her. In anger, he was erupting like volcano. Vaishnavi was scared and shocked because of his angry and rude tone.
