Chapter 40

Everyone got shocked. They all ran towards Vaishnavi. Vaishnavi was lying on the floor unconscious. Everyone was shocked and worried. Reem was looking at her maa with shock.

Soon, a crowd gathered around. Everyone gathered around Vaishnavi. Abhishek sat on the floor and took her head on his lap. Blood was oozing from her forehead and also her stomach. Abhishek taps on her cheeks to wake her but no response. Looking at Vaishnavi, Reem got scared.

Abhishek (shaking her): Vaishnavi...

Reem (sobbing): Maa...

Avneet: Reemi shant bache... Shant...

Sumedh (worried): Abhishek we should take her hospital.

Siddharth (panicked): Main... Main gaadi lata hoon.

Abhishek and Siddharth took her in one car. Mallika and Avneet with Reem in another car with Sumedh. Siddharth was driving fast.

After a few minutes. They reached the hospital. Doctors took Vaishnavi to the emergency ward. Abhishek stood near the door to look at the glass window which is in the mid of the door.

Doctors started Vaishnavi's treatment. Siddharth went to complete the formalities. Abhishek was standing there lost in thoughts.

Abhishek's POV: Ye kya ho raha hain? Vaishnavi ko kuch ho gaya to? Nahin nahin... Main and Reemi... Humara kya? Aese kaise kuch bhi hoga. She is strong. Vo safe hogi. Sab theek hoga. Haan sab theek hoga. She will be fine. Mere liye nahin to Reemi ke liye. She has to be. She will be.

Sumedh, Mallika, Avneet and Reem came there. They saw Abhishek lost in thoughts.

Reem (sobbing): Maa...

Mallika: Haan bache maa theek ho jayegi. Reemi ki maa strong hain. Theek ho jayegi.

Reem nodded with tears rolling down her eyes. Abhishek came back to his senses. He saw Reem. He went towards them and took her in his arms.

Reem (hugging Abhishek): Papa maa...

Abhishek (wiping her tears): Maa aa rahi hain.

Sumedh (pressing Abhishek's shoulder): Vaishnavi theek ho jayegi...

Abhishek (controlling his tears): Haan... Usko hona hi hain. Usko bhi pata hain we need her. Usko theek hona hi hoga.

He closed his eyes. Letting tears roll down his cheeks.

Siddharth came back. He saw Abhishek and Reem crying. He went to console them but Dr came out by the time. Everyone's attention turned towards Dr.

Dr: Is anyone here from her family or you are trying to contact her family?

Abhishek: I am her husband.

Dr: Alright! She got a cut on her stomach. The cut was deep. So, we have to do stitches. Now she is fine but we need to wait till she is conscious. So, that we can check if she has any internal injury because of the cut.

Abhishek (worried): She will be fine?

Dr: If she doesn't have any internal injury then yes she is. If she has then we need to check what it is and how to operate it. So, can't say anything at this moment.

Abhishek nodded.

Dr: Only one or two people can stay here. Please don't create a crowd here. Also, please keep the baby away. The hospital environment isn't good.

Sumedh: Give us a few minutes. We will leave then.

Dr nodded and left.

Siddharth (patting Abhishek's shoulder): Vaishnavi theek ho jayegi. Don't lose hope.

Abhishek (with teary eyes): Usko theek hona hi hain. I don't know anything. Reemi ke liye usko theek hona hi hain.

He mumbles the last line. Giving hope to himself. Siddharth nodded.

Siddharth: Main yaha rukta hoon Abhishek ke sath.

Sumedh: Okay... Reemi and Avneet humare sath humare ghar chalegi. Morning me hum phir aate hain.

Avneet taking Reem in arms.

Reem (holding Abhishek's shirt in fist): Maa...

Tears brimmed in her eyes.

Siddharth (wiping her tears): Reemi vo maa so gayi. Kal jab uthegi na tab hum milege maa se.

Reem shook her head in no.
