Two weeks passed away with Abhishek, Vaishnavi, and Reem bonding. When Abhishek is at the office, Vaishnavi is with Reem. In short, this trio is happy with life.
After two weeks.
In morning. They were having breakfast when Abhishek's phone rang.
Abhishek (confused): Maa is calling. I will be back.
He went away from Reem to talk with his mother. He went into the room. So, that by any chance his mother doesn't hear Reem's voice.
Abhishek: Hello maa.
Rehana (fake anger): Abhishek ek phone kar maa baap se baat karne ko nahin hota tujhse?
Abhishek: Main busy that maa.
Rehana: Chhor ye sab. Tu khush hain yehi bahut hain. Acha maine tujhe phone isliye kiya tha kal karwa chauth hain. Shaam ko tu bahu ko leke yaha aaja. Mehandi ke liye artist bhulaye hain.
Abhishek: Maa... Hum nahin aa sakte. Vo meri bahut important meeting hain.
Rehana: Acha theek hai bahu ko bhejde.
Abhishek: Maa-
Rehana (angrily): Kya hain Abhishek? Tujhe nahin aana matt aa. Bahu ka pehla karwa chauth hain. Usko aana hain. Main driver bhej dugi. Tu lene aana ghar jate time.
With this, she hangs up the call. Abhishek sighed. He went into the dining area and sat on his chair.
Abhishek: Kal karwa chauth hain. Maa wants you to go to her place. I am sorry I tried my best to deny it but I couldn't.
Vaishnavi: Don't worry. That's fine.
Abhishek: Vaise to main bhi aa jata but-
Vaishnavi (cuts him): I can understand. Hum Reem ko akele nahin chhor sakte.
Abhishek (nodded): Main evening me jaldi aauga ghar. I will be here with Reem. Tumhari jaise mehandi ho jaye. Batana... main excuse bana luga.
Vaishnavi: Yeah okay.
After breakfast, Abhishek left for his office.
Skips to evening. Abhishek came home. He saw Vaishnavi was already ready. She and Reem were playing and giggling.
Abhishek: Good evening my pretty girls.
Reem (raising her hands to pick her): Papapapapa...
Vaishnavi (fake sad face): Abhi papa aaye to mujhe bhool gayi...
Reem giggles, licking her cheek.
Abhishek: Ah! Vaishnavi don't interact with anyone much there. Especially with the lady who argued with me that day. She is Reem's mother. Even with my mother. Don't interact with them.
Vaishnavi nodded. Just then Vaishnavi's phone rang.
Vaishnavi: Maa...
Abhishek: I and Reem are going inside. The driver must be here. Attend the call.
He took Reem and went into the room. Vaishnavi received the call.
Rehana: Vaishnavi beta driver is waiting for you in the parking.
Vaishnavi: Ji maa.
She hangs up the call and went into the room.
Vaishnavi: The driver is here.
Abhishek: Okay... You go now. Text me once you are done. I will see other things.
Vaishnavi (kissing Reem's cheek): Bye baby. Don't trouble your papa.
Reem held her dress in the chubby, soft and smooth skin of her hands.
Reem: Aaaaaaaa...
Vaishnavi (taking her in arms): Hmm?
She raised her eyebrows. Reem giggles pointing toward the door.
Vaishnavi (surprised): Reemi ko bhi bahar jana hain?
Reem nodded with a chuckle.
Abhishek (surprised): She is understanding.
Vaishnavi: Haan.
Reem (pointing at the door): Eee...
Abhishek: Reemi and papa baad me bahar jayege. Abhi hum ready hote hain. Come
He took her in his arms. She was wiggling to go back to Vaishnavi.
Vaishnavi: Abhishek jaldi ready ho jao phir hum sath me chalte hain. Reemi ko bhi ready kar do.
Abhishek: Haan chalo. Tum bahar baitho hum ready ho kar aate hain. Phir sath me chalege okay?
Vaishnavi nodded.
Abhishek: Chalo princess ko papa ready karege aaj.
Abhishek distracts Reem. Vaishnavi silently went out of the flat. She went to her mother-in-law's home.
With Abhishek. He got fresh then came out of the room with Reem. Reem started looking around. Abhishek understood she is searching for Vaishnavi.
Abhishek: Chalo chalo hum kuch banate hain. Reemi kya khayegi dinner me?
He went into the kitchen with Reem to see dinner is already prepared.
Abhishek (dramatically): Arey!! Dinner bana hua hain.
Reem pointed at the door.
Abhishek: Bahar hi jana hain?
Reem giggles.
Abhishek: Chalo Sumedh chachu ke ghar chalte hain.
Reem nodded, kissing his cheek.
Abhishek (pinching her nose): You are growing up now.
Reem held his hand and giggled.
Abhishek went to his friend Sumedh's home who lives two buildings away.
