[LUKE'S POV]

Me: "Why is everyone so scared of you? Why do they show you more respect than teachers."

Ashton: "Hard to explain but once, in my second year here, a group of three boys tried to fight me. It was just outside the school, after school. It was a decently easy fight for me but I still got a bit hurt. One boy tried to kick me in the nuts, grabbed his ankle and threw him to the ground. The other boy tried to tackle me, I let him take me onto the ground then I flipped us over and kicked him in the stomach. The last boy threw his bag at my head. It hit me and I fell. I got a pretty bad cut from it on my head and needed stiches, but besides that, I was fine. But I grabbed the bag and threw it back at him. The bag broke his wrist since he tried to catch it. I ran inside and went to the office where I told them that I was attacked and the nurse took care of my head until paramedics were able to come. 4 ambulances came shortly and we all got transported to the hospital. All this to say, they were all fine, including me. Oh, and also, they were all seniors. Since this was right in front of the school, there were security cameras there and they were able to record all this. So after that, no one wants to get beat up by me. Besides, everyone knows about this and honestly, even I'm impressed with myself."

Me: "Damn. That's all I can say."

Ashton: "It's fine. Anyways, I got my sheets. But before we do that, I want to know what he did to you. And are you okay?"

Me: "Yeah, I'm good. And who? Michael?"

Ashton: "Yeah, Michael, the boy that was just here."

Me: "Well, he came up to me and asked if anyone was sitting here and I told him it doesn't matter. I didn't want to make it a big deal about you sitting there but leaving me alone. I told him to leave but he didn't. He then tried to grab the bag. I slapped his hand hard. He slapped mine but it hardly hurt. Then you showed up. That's basically all."

Ashton: "You sure?"

Me: "Mhm."

Ashton: "Okay, sure. But if he, or anyone for that matter, says something or is mean, tell me. I won't kill them or turn them against you, I have my ways, trust me."

Me: "Okay, thanks"

Ashton: "Alright, now I really need help with this."

We got started right away and I explained it the best I could, unfortunately we only got through one sheet, and he has a decent amount more to go. And add the work we'll have today on top of that. I want to offer to help him after school but I'm scared he'll say that I'm too eager to help or annoying or something like that.

The bell rang and we went to Chemistry class. Ashton took out the sheets again and I continued explaining since the teacher wasn't teaching or doing anything yet. Ms. Margonstle, our teacher, finally cleared her voice and everyone became quiet. I told Ashton I'd help him after she finished talking. But after around 15 minutes, it was clear that she wasn't going to stop talking soon. She was explaining something but it was just confusing everyone.

I grabbed a piece of paper from my binder and took it out. I wrote Ashton a little "note" since I didn't want to start whispering in class, Ms. Margonstle doesn't seem much like a nice teacher.

Me: If you want, I can help you with the work after school?

I don't know I was scared to ask. I slide the paper over to him and he saw it.

Ashton: Uh, sure. I just need to pick up my siblings from their school then I should be free. Where would you want to meet?

So he drives to school I guess. I wonder why his parents can't get his sibling but I'm not the person to ask because parents can suck sometimes.

Me: Not in a weird way, but where do you live near?

Ashton: Near a blue playground. You?

Me: Really? I live like 10 minutes away from it.

Ashton: Great! Meet there then? I'll probably be free after 4. I just need to do a few things then I'll be ready.

Me: Yeah, of course, don't worry about that. 4 is good with me. See you then!

I handed back the paper to Ashton and he nodded and smiled back at me, a nice, caring, grateful, and charming smile.

Butterflies filled my stomach. I don't know why but the thought of going to the park with Ashton seemed intriguing. Even though it's just to do homework and for me to be a mini tutor, it sounded fun.

Throughout the lesson I was able to understand some things but Ashton seemed so lost. I felt bad. But I'll help him.

I couldn't help but take a few quick glances at him and I was able to catch him looking at me too. Not in a weird way, just, nicely. Not looking anywhere but my face and seemed like he was trying to stop looking at me but couldn't. If that's how he actually feels, I feel the same way.

I can't wait for 4.
