Two days pass with limited interaction between Sam and the new neighbor, Spencer. Sam went on with his routine of walking his dogs and going into work. He doesn't bother waiting for Spencer in the mornings, he considered it, but decided to continue how he has. If the man decides to walk with him and the dogs then he can catch up to them anyday. Sam doesn't linger on the new neighbor, if they run into each other then he'll tolerate the socialization.

However, Spencer doesn't come across his mind often. Only when he's coming into his apartment after the morning walk and after his shift, he can hear Spencer in his apartment yelling or cursing, often laughing. The man is loud, whether he is openly aware he's being heard by his neighbors clearly or not. He doesn't appear to try to muffle his voice or put up noise-canceling objects on his walls. It's not Sam's business and he attempts to try to ignore all the noise, even if it wakes him up at early hours in the morning. The dogs are confused about what all the noise is, not accustomed to hearing shouting on this floor or in the building. They whisper bark or give low howls to be included, Sam records them because he thinks it's cute.

He goes to work and keeps to himself, baking and looking for places he could cook at after he finishes school. He is considering getting experience in a kitchen for a few years, now that he has experience in baking for customers. He wants to see how he can handle being in a kitchen filled with rushing people, and wonders if that environment would help him with his aversion to humans. He doesn't do well under pressure, but he's had situations during classes that he pushes through. He believes he could make it pass whatever is thrown his way in the kitchen. He loves baking, but it's good to have experience in different departments of cooking.

It gives more opportunity to get further in a career and he wants as many chances as possible. His mother told him to try his best and work to get where he wants, so he's going to try different things within cooking and baking to find where exactly he wants to be. Sam is working towards getting a better, bigger apartment for himself and the dogs. He has money saved in his bank account for a new place to rent, it's not enough for the building he is hoping for, but he's adding money to it every time he's paid. When he can, he adds fifty to one hundred dollars to the savings for it to build up.

His parents are incredibly proud of him to be able to be responsible enough to save his money, not spending all of it on useless stuff or his dogs. Sam is proud of himself too, feels accomplished when he can add to the saved money. He is working his butt off to get into a better building to give his dogs more space, with better windows for light when he is gone. He is aiming for a place near a dog park or a lake, a big outdoor space for walks and room for the dogs to roam. However, there's ways away from that hope and goal. For now, Sam is stuck in a small, one bedroom apartment with enough room for a couch and a tiny kitchen. He can't complain about it, he's happy here and the dogs like the people, they're exercised daily and fed properly; more than happy.

Sam has the day off and he's treating the dogs to an extra long walk in the morning, just to give them more time to sniff around and play at the park. They've been out for an hour already and he's considering staying for one or two more hours. Maybe take them to the dog friendly ice cream shop down the road. The sun is shining down in wide rays, warming the ground and air. It's nearing eighty degrees and the dogs are playing in the cool paw deep water in the fountain, it sits in the middle of the park. Sam is able to keep an eye on his beloved dogs and make sure no one is upset at the breeds he has, no other dogs bother them.

They only play with dogs that approach them first, staying closer to the bench Sam sits on that is out of the way of other humans and dogs. Sam has dressed lighter than he usually does, thin shorts that stop above his knee and a short sleeve light blue shirt. He minds his own business in the park and doesn't speak to anyone, unless it's to save his dogs from discrimination because of the breeds or size. The reputation they have is dangerous and sometimes people have a bad reaction to their dogs playing with them, no matter how sweet and loving Fenrir, Cerberus and Orthrus are. Luckily, they've been coming here often enough that other regular walkers know and recognize the dogs, know they are harmless and trained well.
