Four months is all it takes for Spencer to plan the wedding. It isn't a huge service, no guest list, and no fancy church or expensive trip, scenery, or decorations. He doesn't hire a wedding planner, picks the space of the tiny ceremony himself, speaking to a wedding officiant that can legally marry them.

The only people invited are Charlie, Pamela, and a friend of Spencer's, Dylan. Sam is in the dark about the plans, focusing on work and his exams for college. The school year is coming to an end, he needs to study and do well to graduate. Spencer encourages him, constantly feeding his boy, and reminding him to drink water.

The man leaves the student to his books and computer, avoiding distracting him. Instead, the YouTuber works and gets details sorted for their wedding. Neither man is religious, he doesn't want a church involved or has to pay for such a small party to attend.

Going to a courthouse would serve to make Sam saddened by the quickness and unromantic setting, so he finds a simple, yet beautiful setting for his boy. While Sam is asleep, studying, or at work, the man goes searching. Visits different parks, hiking trails, and beaches until he finally finds a spot that will undoubtedly make Sam ecstatic.

It's far into the forest, a mile from a hiking trail. A small clearing that animals visit for the clear, blue stream running through it, the vibrant fresh grass, and the shade of the tall, heavy trees surrounding it. The stream has a large waterfall, and the sound of trickling water and splashing against the rocks isn't booming or overly loud. It adds a peaceful, calming sensation, along with the warm sun and cool shade. He takes pictures, reminding himself to tell the wedding officiant where the spot is.

Dylan has sworn he'd act as the photographer, mocking Spencer about how quickly and suddenly he is planning everything, how it's isolated and remotely no guests. One step away from a shotgun wedding. Spencer has known Dylan for years, meeting at a convention and hitting it off as friends; they have similar interests and certain traits to bond over.

The man lives in Australia, moving to England after the wedding to get a change of scenery and "meet some cute British guys". Charlie agreed right away to visit for the ceremony, buying a plane ticket for two days before the wedding. He promised he'd find a hotel, and Spencer suggested the one he knows Dylan will be in.

The man buys himself and Sam new suits, going behind his partner's back doing so. Gave the tailor the students' measurements and requested an off-white three-piece suit, he chose one with a small vest that resembled a corset with how it buttoned. Spencer got himself a midnight black three-piece suit, going for one more simple rather than flashy or overly expensive. He was certain to request a white tie for his suit and a black tie for Sam, to match the other man and to subtly mark that Sam belongs to the groom.

Pamela hired herself as the caterer, insisting on baking the cake for them if Sam decides not to. Offering to give them a generous discount for full-priced, tiered wedding cakes. Spencer plans on the wedding taking place by the end of the week, a Saturday. The man had already spoken to Sam's new boss, mentioning how he wanted to surprise Sam with the date and ask for his boy to receive time off for a honeymoon. The chef was happy to grant that request, congratulating them and reassuring him that Sam would receive the break.

Sam offhandedly said he'd rather a bakery baked his cake, just to avoid giving him too much stress on top of having to do anything else that may be done. Spencer messages Pamela as he is told, giving her permission to start a cake and agreeing to a price.

His boy is exhausted by Saturday, worn out from the heavy pulling and pushing of work and school. His exams are officially over, having done his last test on Friday night. Instead of waking him up early in the morning, Spencer lets Sam sleep most of the day.
