It takes three months for Sam to relax back into the contentment he had before the proposal, having started a new routine and taking time to grow accustomed to it. Spencer makes sure they take a few hours every day to unwind, whether through playtimes or Sam reclining in the older man's lap while Spencer edits. Sam has a new schedule that allows for more time at home on some days, which gives him an excuse to sneak peeks through the door of Spencer's recording office. He's never interrupted or observed the YouTuber during his recording time, wanting to give him space to work undisturbed.

For the past few weeks into his new routine, Sam stands at the door and simply listens to any curses Spencer shouts during horror games and the clicks or controller movements. If the door is cracked, he'll peek inside and watch Spencer play, speaking to the camera and reacting to whatever is on the computer screen. The new job Sam has found, Spencer and Pamela helped him find a restaurant. His partner went to Pamela once he got tired of Sam stressing himself about what restaurants would hire him.

Spencer asked on Sam's behalf if the woman knew anyone hiring in the position Sam wants, and was relieved when she said she'd ask her friends if they, or others, needed new hires. It took three or four days, but Pamela called Sam with news that she had sent copies of his resume to popular restaurants around the city. Mentioning a friend of hers knows a french high-class building was searching for more kitchen staff. Spencer drove his boy to the interview, keeping physical contact and singing praises to keep Sam from any mental attacks from his nerves. Afterward, he rewarded Sam for getting the job by leashing him at home and spending all day with his adorable puppy boy in the playroom.

Working in a busy kitchen instead of a peaceful, unrushed bakery that had only decent popularity within the city, was a rough transition. He works closely with a man named James, who works as one of the two main chefs. Sam is shadowing James while also taking shifts to gain more experience. The man had gone through his college professors' recommendations and any papers he was given on Sam's work position, what degree he is going for, and what he excels at. Taking into consideration everything, finally agreed to hire the younger man. He is teaching Sam how to run the kitchen, prepare what is on the menus, and do what needs to be done.

While also giving Sam freedom in the kitchen of fixing smaller orders or assisting in finishing a late order. Needless to say, all the rushing at work, the mental and literal change of his schedule, and the transition had made the younger restless and needy for attention. Craving to have his Master get him out of his head and simply love him. Spencer always takes care of his needs, whether sexually or by cuddling him. Sam doesn't need to ask, doesn't even need to part his lips, the older man knows by a single glimpse what his boy needs and he always drops what he is doing to provide.

Spencer has given much more attention to his boy, a fact that may shock him. Considering his eyes never stray from Sam, even when they met. This kind of focus is more obsessive than he had been allowing himself to show. He has his puppy trained to overlook his behavior. Sam had grown to expect his phone to be taken and looked through, typed his password for his partner, and easily handed it over. Eventually, the entire lock screen was ordered away. No password, pattern, or lock to it. The younger did so without a single complaint. Spencer goes through Sam's phone, searching for any suspicious messages in case someone from the internet managed to hack their way into the boy's phone.

As well as making certain Robin and Sam's parents haven't called or messaged. Deleting all messages if he sees Robin has attempted contact, going as far as to delete and block the man's number. The parents have made zero attempts to call, they haven't left messages or come to visit. It has been a topic that stresses Sam's mind, needing to be told multiple times over the months that they won't approve. Spencer keeps the repetitive phrase, "only us. We don't need them. You don't need them." He has his boy repeat it, getting the meaning and words in his mind until he starts to believe them.
