It's a slow process, but the couple put order into their new home; everything is where it is supposed to be and they have each room set up as intended. The animals are now sharing Spencer's office with the man, soundproofed walls keep Sam from hearing most of the reactions games cause. The kitchen is clean and neat. Sam has everything he could ever need in specific shelves or cabinets. Spencer often teases him on being slightly OCD on where exactly all the supplies go, and in what order or size. The baker just shrugs, blushing. The master bedroom has thick black curtains over the large, wide window overlooking the backyard.
Spencer's bed from his old apartment is situated in the far corner, black and gray sheets or duvet cover the mattress. At the head of the bed is a long faux fur body pillow, then three fluffy pillows to sleep on. They share a closet and a medium-sized dresser, the redhead insisting on sharing to make it more convenient for each of them. That was the excuse, in reality, the thought of Sam doing anything in the house alone or having separate things made Spencer feel an overwhelming amount of possessiveness - or a similar sensation.
The spare bedroom has a smaller bed from Sam's former apartment, a place in case people stay. Sam had to argue about that. The Youtuber dislikes the idea of others staying in their home for longer than a few hours, fighting that the room is for them. The man had ordered specific toys and supplies, odd furniture is set up in the dark corners of the spare room. The sheer sight of them makes Sam excitedly nervous and reluctant to allow anyone inside that room. There are two hooks directly next to the door, when asked about them, Spencer ominously said they were for future things. He decided that could wait to be explained at a later time.
Spencer has been giving Sam more commands, nonsexual ones that encourage his mind to let go of human worries; stress from work, or anything that may cause Sam concern. Trying to get his boy to give into a puppy-like mindset more often, as he was the other week after work. The baker had no clue what had happened, what caused it, only that he felt safe and warm and his thoughts went very simple. He wanted Spencer, and to nap. That is all his thoughts circled around, not needing to prepare for the next day's class or feeding dogs, even showering at that moment; not adult things.
He was craving simple, instinctual stuff. Spencer is his boyfriend, providing safety and comfort to the younger man. Spencer had taken great care in handling his puppy in such a fragile state, on the edge of a Headspace or deep in one, it's important to be careful with actions or words. Sam perhaps wasn't deep in one, yet it was obvious he was experiencing something similar and could have been on the edge.
Not once did Spencer leave the boys' side suddenly, mentioning work or coworkers. Such topics could have pulled Sam from the experience he was having. Instead, the taller man lay in the little nest Sam built going through animated movies to watch, feeding his puppy treats, or helping him drink water. The dogs laid out on the new rugs, and the other recliners, or went off to their own beds. They were fed when Sam went to sleep, eating in the office to lessen the chance of something waking the human puppy. The next morning, Sam admitted he had no clue what had happened to him, yet confessed that he enjoyed being taken care of in such a way. Spencer pushed for anything that happened at work, a sign or stressful event that could have pushed Sam into a Headspace to forget for a while.
The baker reluctantly spoke up, Robin had been quizzing the boy on his decision to move in with Spencer. Saying it was too early, Spencer wasn't who he shows he is, and that the man is violent and manipulative. He told Sam what the man did when they started the CEO project, grabbing and threatening him. Spencer nearly went to the bakery to give Robin more than a threat at this news, but he stayed and comforted his boy. The younger man swore and promised he didn't believe a word his coworker said, assuring the man of his trust and genuine affection. The night before showed Sam the YouTuber cares and loves him, he wouldn't have acted so gently or carefully if he didn't.
