CHAPTER 8
She looked so peaceful in her sleep. The fact that she fell asleep on the massage chair just shows that she's exhausted.
Hindi na siya nakaabot sa kwarto niya.
"I can't believe you just fell asleep after saying that..." I whispered with a smile on my face.
I stared at her. She looks calm, on her way to the dreamland.
My hand slowly landed on her head and touched her hair. Mabagal na naglaho ang ngiti ko.
"As if it did not affect me..."
I have my walls built around me every time she's in front of me. Because I'm too weak and unstable, while she's strong and firm. I am doing that, not for myself but to protect her.
Masyado akong durog.
Let's keep the wall built between us, Taliya... Please?
"The next time you do this again, I think I couldn't handle it anymore..." I whispered under my breath.
Luckily, I found the key card on her pouch.
Now that she's barefooted, the redness on her feet is visible. I heavily sighed and looked at her sleeping face.
But I just found myself staring at her.
I laid my head on my arms and watched her sleep.
Both of our faces were being lit by the cozy yellow light of the lampshade. And she looks pretty.
I know that she's pretty, but tonight in this room where the two of us are alone, she's prettier.
Her eyebrows are naturally on fleek; her eyes are closed, but it's beautiful. Once it's open, her hazel eyes will strike your soul.
She has a tiny mole under her right eye. Probably her past lover in her past life often kissed her there while she was asleep—the way I am fighting the urge to do that right now.
Mataas din ang kaniyang ilong. Her lips are shaped as peaked cupid's bow.
She has the neutral undertone skin.
But my eyes landed back on the mole under her right eye. As if it's a map on the way to the destination: her mole.
