UnOrdinary: The twisted ones.

The Mall.

[Location: John's house]

I woke up from a nightmare, and it wasn't great.. yeah no shit. I got a text from Sera saying she wants to go with me to the mall and I HATE IT. So yeah no, I'm gonna tell her that I'm cleaning my home so I can't go with her. "Well, too bad... " She replied to my text. "Oh, fuck she is already here isn't she..." I thought as I heard the doorbell ring.

I dressed up and opened the door she entered and saw a boxing gauntlet on the ground she picked it up and put it on the table. "It's clean now, let's go," she said with a smirk. "Ugh, let's get this over with..." I said as we left. 

[Location: The Mall]

"Hey John, what do you think of this dress?" Seraphina said as if she found something out of this earth. "Um, it's exactly like the last 12 dresses you showed me?" I replied with a dead inside look. "Of course not! it's different you see this line here?" she said as she pointed to a line on the dress. "It wasn't in any other dress!" She continued. "Um, remind me what would that line change exactly?" I said. "Um, not much really..." She said. "Yeah, exactly..." I replied. 

But as we were talking my eyes spot on a shirt that looks cool. "Hey Sera, what do you think of this shirt?" I said with a slightly excited tone. " Lame, it's literally written on it..." She replied. "Ugh, it doesn't mean it I think it's a french word!" I said. "Yeah, whatever it's lame..." She said. "I'll buy it anyway screw your opinion..." I said In a joking tone. "Suit yourself, LAME," she said to me which earned her a deadpan look from me.

As we were heading out of the mall after wasting 5 hours of our short lives in a mall trying to find the difference between this dress and that dress. We saw an ability gauge booth we walked there and we found that the guy standing in the booth is having a fight with a lady. "ONLY FOUR?! GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK YOU CROOK!" The lady said with anger. "Um, lady you scored four and that's already above average what is your problem?" The booth guy replied. "I SAID GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK OR ELSE!" she said. "Hey, miss please calm down," I said trying to calm the situation. "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS BRAT!" the lady said while activating her ability. "Excuse me, this is my business as you are wasting our time, he already told you that you scored a four!" I replied. 

"YOU BRAT! SHUT UP OR-" The lady was saying before being cut off. "Or what?" a familiar voice said me and Seraphina look at the person speaking to see Grey and Ashlyn. "Didn't you hear me? Or what?" Grey said with confidence. "YOU WANNA FIGHT KID?" The lady said as she lifted her hand towards Grey a ball of pink energy formed at her hand. Seraphina watched nonchalantly since this to her was nothing but Grey wasn't so happy about this as I started to feel him activating his ability which could cause more trouble so I put my hands in front of Grey. "HELP! THIS CRAZY LADY WANTS TO BLOW UP THE MALL!" I shouted and almost immediately a security guard came and took the lady with him but he ordered the booth guy to give the lady her money back. 

"Hey, you know Grey could have destroyed her easily right?" Ashlyn said with a nonchalant look. "Yeah but that would lead to more trouble right?" I replied to her. "Well, I guess that wor-" Ashlyn said before stopping and looking with wide eyes at Seraphina. "Oh! you are Seraphina, you look so pretty up close!" Ashlyn said as she held Seraphina's hands which startled  Seraphina a bit now that I think of it Ashlyn is the same height as me so that shocked Seraphina a bit. "Um, thanks? I guess." Seraphina replied still nervous, this was the first time me seeing Seraphina nervous. "Ashlyn stop with the fangirling you are embarrassing us!" Grey said with a somewhat angry look. "No, don't worry about it every one of us has his own... Quirks." I replied.

But I suddenly remembered that we were still standing at the booth I looked at the booth guy. "Sorry for her taking your money," I said, a bit saddened. "It's fine, at least you stood up for me not everyone could do that these days..." He replied. "So as a gift for you, I'll gauge your abilities for free." He said with a happy look. "Sorry, not interested." Ashlyn and Grey Said in a union. "Well, Seraphina will try," I said. "Wah? alright fine..." Seraphina replied. "Your hand please miss." the guy said as Seraphina extended her hand for him to gauge her ability. "Amazing, you are an 8!" the guy replied. "There you go your gift!" The guy said. then he extended his arm to gauge my ability to which I took my arm away instantly. "Oh, sorry I didn't ask first!" The guy said. "No, it's fine... it's just you won't find anything anyway." I replied with a light smile on my face. 

Me, Seraphina, Ashlyn, and Grey left the store. But as we were walking I started to sense an aura following us I looked and saw nothing. Then I looked at Grey and Ashlyn and saw that both of them also know that we are being followed somehow. I grabbed Seraphina's hand and started running and Grey and Ashlyn followed us. "What are we running from?" Seraphina said. As the aura was now in front of us before I could do anything I saw a Giant hand grab the Invisible guy and it was Grey his eyes were glowing. But I couldn't get a proper read on his aura it was like a mess, too complicated for me to understand I didn't focus on it when Ashlyn saved me before but it really was something weird. Grey then proceeded to squeeze the invisible guy making him scream from the pain and deactivating his ability he was wearing a mask. "Eyesore .." Grey said before throwing the guy across the street. And deactivated his ability and we headed off to my house. "What was that .." Seraphina said cutting off the silence. "No idea .." Ashlyn said. "Alright, Me and Ashlyn are going out now let us meet again later..." Grey said with a smile. "What, you're leaving now?" I replied. "Yeah, it's already very late. " Grey replied. "But, didn't you see what just happened?! there could be more of them!"

"So what?" Grey replied. "Look I know you are extremely strong, but why risk it?" I said which seemed to have convinced him.

"Alright, we'll stay," Grey replied.
