The school cripple.

[Boy's dorm]

I yawn as I start washing my hair and brushing my teeth, then suddenly I hear a knock on my door. I walk towards the door and open it. "Hello, mister Blyke." Keene, the head of the school security said as he walked in alongside a black-haired boy. "Good morning, what brings you here mister Keene?" I say as I make eye contact with the black-haired boy. "This is John, your new roommate." He says pointing at the black-haired boy. 

"A..alright..." I say a bit weirded out by the thing that I have a new roommate at this time and none other than the school cripple but I shrug it off. Keene then proceeds to hold our hands to make us shake hands and I take John's hand and shake it as he does the same. "I hope we can get along," I say to John as he just gives me a slight nod. Keene giggles and leaves as John puts down his stuff. "So, you are the school cripple, right?" I say and he just nods. "So? wanna walk with me to class? we are in the same class I believe." I say and he finally talks. "Yeah... sure." He says awkwardly. I wonder what is wrong with his awkwardness, especially after I asked him if he was the school cripple.

We start walking toward class, However, on our way, a random boy grabbed John's shirt and punched him knocking him to the ground. I tried to help John up and stop the kid but before I could do anything. A visible aura that looked like burnt gold appeared around John's body as his eyes glowed. I was shocked, Wasn't he the school cripple? he even confirmed this to me. The kid got angrier and lunged at John with his ability, which appears to be a speed-enhancing ability. However, John easily blocks his attack and gives him a very strong punch that knocks him out.

"How... the hell?" I say, My jaw slack as I watch John standing putting his leg over the boy's head. It was like he is a different person his aura was kingly and how easily he knocked out that kid made me believe that he was at least an elite. He sighs and looks into my eyes. "Let's go to class." He says as he deactivates his ability and walks. I follow him hesitantly. "What was that? weren't you a cripple?" I asked still nervous. "Well, that's what everyone thinks and what I made everyone think, but... not anymore." He says still walking, he didn't even bother to look at me while talking. "What do you mean not anymore?" I ask raising an eyebrow. 

"Are you really that naive? It means that I was pretending to be a cripple," he says still not looking at me. "Why would you pretend to be a cripple?!" I say clearly not able to understand why would someone do this to themselves. "Well, I have my reasons... See you, class is about to start." He says before finally going inside the class as I follow him.

[CANDICE]

I feel my body regain consciousness as my eyes open, I couldn't see clearly at first but it got better after a while. I felt my whole body ache after that guy smashed my head into the wall, I looked around me to find that I was alone in what appeared to be these people's basement. I was chained so I couldn't move. I activated my ability and made a duplicate of myself to free myself. But before I could do anything. "Hey, Candice." I hear a voice coming from in front of me. But I couldn't see anyone. "Who's there!?" I yell. "Oh? you don't remember me already? After all... your partner was sent to kill me." The voice says as a boy with Auburn hair emerges. I immediately realize the boy's facial structure. "Terrence?" I say clearly taken off guard. "Yeah, it's me... However, I don't go by 'Terrence' anymore." He says. I don't respond clearly surprised by the fact that he is now with them. 

"I advise you to deactivate your ability and don't try anything stupid. You are no match for these people." He says as I look him in the eyes. "And they force you to work with them?" I ask raising an eyebrow. "No, my eyes were opened. Orrin is nothing but a manipulative piece of trash. He manipulated us and made us think he was our savior. However, he was nothing but a selfish man with selfish ambitions." Terrence says as he looks me dead in the eye. *I quickly make 4 clones and attack Terrence. However, before anything could touch him. all my clones were destroyed with what appeared to be shock waves. "The Master and Mistress said that you shouldn't engage with her in a fight Master Arthur." A blond-haired woman walked towards us. I knew she was powerful. Her stance the way she looks at me like I'm some sort of nobody. I am a high tier, but this woman treats me like I'm some sort of nobody?!

I make another 4 clones quickly and attack her again. She claps her hands together making a huge shock wave that destroyed all my clones again and shook the entire building. "I advise you not to continue this foolishness The Master and Mistress have given you a chance." The woman said. "Candice, I know how you feel about Orrin and Specter in all, you see it as your family. However, don't let this blind you from the truth." Terrence says as he walks towards me and releases me from my chains.  "What are you..." I say as I finally free my hands from these chains and rub my wrists as it hurts as hell. "Emma, I want you to make her some food. She hasn't eaten for an entire day, I'll watch over her if she tries anything foolish I'll notify you." Terrence says to the blond woman and she nods and leaves."
