Internal Conflict.

[ORRIN]

[Orrin's Office]

"Sir, I couldn't eliminate Agent Wellston," Liam said. "And why is that?" I said in a cold voice. "We attacked the place they were keeping him in, me and five of our fighters and we deployed the damper, however, there were two people with him, they were too strong I ordered our fighters to stall for a bit however when I went to the place they were keeping him using my ability without no one noticing me, I was met with a woman with blond hair and red eyes. At first, I freeze her so I can finish the job faster but each time I try to freeze her my ice breaks, and she seemed to have some sort of shock wave creation ability. But because I was a lot higher in terms of level due to the damper I was able to knock her out but when I did that and tried to finish the job, the two were already here and they were able to stop me." Liam said, "What were their abilities?" I replied.

"I didn't understand it really, They seem to have multiple abilities as well as the ability to copy other people's abilities. The guy was able to copy my ability and freeze me but managed to break from the ice and decides to escape, as they were too strong even with the damper, they are dangerous." Liam answered my question.

I got a bit irritated as to how two random people are capable of beating one of my strongest high tiers as well as five other fighters and they were dampened throughout the whole fight. "It's alright, this loss shall not hinder our progress however send another team after them," I said to Liam. He was silent for a moment then he decided to talk. "Sir, we already did that, the place they were in before was already empty by the next morning and we cannot follow them using the tracker on Agent wellston's ear as they seemed to have noticed it and destroyed it." Liam said and I was furious. "IT DOESN'T MATTER LEAVE NOW!" I shouted and he left.

"Just who the hell are these people." I thought as I was looking through the window.

[JOHN DOE]

[John's house]

I woke up from a nightmare again, these nightmares started to appear a lot since Sera's suspension I talked to her through my computer but still, I feel like I'm sad yet angry, why did she have to be the one to get caught? Why whenever I have something or someone I want, Something bad happens?!

I decided to leave the bed and go for a walk to buy something to eat so maybe It will brighten up my mood a bit.
I went to the supermarket and bought a sandwich and started to eat it outside, but as I was eating I sensed an aura being activated in a nearby lane.

I was in a conflict about whether I should go there or not but my curiosity got the best of me and I went closer to see what is going on. I heard a woman crying, I got closer and saw that two men were activating their abilities, apparently trying to intimidate her. Or force themselves on her. I didn't know what should I do If interfere I might lose control and do more harm than good but if I don't. This woman will be hurt a lot, I decided to leave but as I was leaving I heard one of them talk. "We'll have our fun with you and then we will take that girl on the floor, be grateful that we won't kill you."

I was shocked I looked again and saw a girl on the floor apparently her daughter, I couldn't control myself any longer I cannot allow It. Fuck it if I lose control, I activated my ability and rushed at them. "What th-Aghhh" one of them was trying to talk before I kicked him in the stomach. I copied both of their abilities. They both were weaklings, as the strongest of them was a mid-tier. "WHO ARE YOU?" One of them said before launching towards me with an inhuman speed,  However, I dodged it with ease using his ability and I used the other guy's ability to fire two black beams from my eyes at him, knocking him unconscious. "How the hell!" The guy with the eye beam ability said before using it to attack me, I launched toward him before he could launch his beam and kicked him using my momentum in the gut, he couldn't handle the pain and he blacked out.

I used the Eyebeam ability to launch two beams at the Eyebeam guy's legs to completely make him unable to move even if he woke up without healing. I sat atop him and started to punch him in the face continuously. after a while from punching his face was unrecognizable from the bruises. I decided to stop before I would go further as I walked to the crying woman. "Are you okay miss?" I said to her while deactivating my ability. "My daughter, is she okay?" She said while crying. I checked her daughter and saw that she was shot by a beam in her leg to stop her from running and she was unconscious from the pain I held the girl in my arms and asked the woman if she could walk she nodded. I took her to a nearby hospital to heal the girl's wound.

"Don't ever walk in the night again, it's too dangerous especially if you cannot protect yourself," I told her with a firm voice. she just nodded as someone suddenly came, apparently, her husband he was so scared as it seems they got separated from each other because the girl ran to play in the lane as her mother followed her but they didn't know what was waiting for them and the husband was in a store or something and they were waiting for him anyways he thanked me and I took my leave. "Today I did something incredibly dangerous, had I lost control and I would have killed them and that is exactly why I shouldn't use my power, but maybe once in a while won't hurt." I thought while walking over to my house to have some sleep.

I was walking normally through one of the halls when I suddenly spotted John walking but he looks a lot different than his normal goofy look, he looked moody and aggressive.

"I don't know how you are doing it Arlo... But it's working." I said as I went to class.
