UnOrdinary: The twisted ones.

After I borrowed unOrdinary from John yesterday, I didn't really get the chance to read it as I had to go to school so I decided to start reading it now, I didn't know what kind of book unOrdinary was and why it was banned, What made it so special that it could change people's mindset and push them into vigilantism. I started to read it and what stood out the most was its child-like idea of a man who has all the power in the world but he never uses it for anything except for the good of other people, as something like that is almost impossible in our society.

But maybe it's not cursed or anything, it's just a trigger. People who became vigilantes already had these morals and ideals, to sacrifice their time and put themselves in danger to protect others. And this book acted as a catalyst to awaken that hidden desire in them. But I still can't be convinced by that logic, you can't just throw your life away and throw everyone and everything you love to play hero and save people. Unless you are invincible of course, but I don't think everyone is as strong as I am or even as strong as someone like Arlo. High tiers are incredibly rare, we at Wellston have the highest concentration of high tiers in this region. And yet we don't have a lot of them, So risking your life knowing that you are not strong enough to handle anything that might come your way is absurd.

I finished reading and It was around 4:00 AM so I decided to go to sleep and left the book on the table.

I woke up after sleeping like a baby, It was now around 7:30 AM and the first class was about to start in 30 minutes. I got up quickly and got dressed and I went to Seraphina's room to check on her. She was sleeping and she seemed tired but I had to wake her up, I woke her. "Hey, Seraphina it's time for school," I said shyly as usual. "Alright, I'll dress up and go to class," Seraphina replied while wiping her eyes. I decided to leave now but as I was leaving my eyes caught something. It was unOrdinary, "How was she able to get that?" I thought while still shocked from seeing a cursed book with Seraphina. "I have to tell Arlo about this. " I thought as I went to class.

"Ugh, Finally this class is over!" I said while walking to the roof to meet up with Seraphina to play some games. While I was walking I spotted a white-haired girl walking. So being the stupid I am I decided to jump-scare her. "Wahhh!" I said trying to scare her. Ashlyn yelped, and I saw a Giant hand ready to smash me. "Oh, it's you..." Ashlyn said while deactivating her ability and that giant hand disappear like it was never there. "Shit, remind me to never scare you again," I said with a sigh of relief. "Alright, I'll," she said with a grin.

"You going somewhere?" I asked. "Yeah, I'm supposed to meet up with Grey In the library to study together, they have a ton of cool books about trigonometry, arithmetic sequences, biology and even astronomy!" She said excitedly. "Oh, really cool..." I said with a deadpan look. "Alright, I'm supposed to meet up with Seraphina on the roof, wanna go to Woaba boba after school?" I said, "Sure! I'll ask Grey if he wishes to come too." Ashlyn replied as she walked off and I went to the roof.

"Hey, Sera?" I said while sitting down on the floor. "I read it," Seraphina replied I immediately understood what she meant. "What did you think?" I said.

"I think it's a bit absurd." She replied. We started talking about what she liked about the story and what she didn't like and after a while, I had to go to class. "Hey, wanna go to Woaba boba after school?" I said while walking off. "Sure." She replied as I left.

"Ugh, Arlo and his stupid orders..." I said while trying to search for information about that John guy on the internet, from what I heard when I asked about him they say he doesn't fight much and depends on tricking his opponent to win and bluffing. It was a bit weird as weaklings always try and avoid conflicts, yet this guy not only doesn't bow down to anyone who is stronger than him, but sometimes he is the one starting out fights. So I decided to look into his past as I tried to talk to him before but I couldn't as he was with Seraphina and I cannot force any information out of him while Seraphina is around. Well not if I'm willing to die sooner or smth.

But at last, I finally found it. "Aha! Finally found you." I said with a grin. I opened his file and found that he was expelled from his previous school. "So he wasn't homeschooled after all..." I thought as I looked further into his info. "What the hell..." I said while looking at his ability information. "That makes a lot of sense that he has an ability, but he is THAT STRONG?" I thought. "This guy was expelled because he single-handedly destroyed half of his class and sent them to the hospital! He isn't someone we can fuck with, who knows what he'll do if we exposed him!" I thought while still shocked. "I need to warn Arlo and stop his stupidity or else we might be in serious problem!" I thought as I texted Arlo to ask to meet him.

"This needs to stop," I said as I left the library.
