Beomgyu is pacing back and forth in the living room, waiting for his best friend. He tries calling him but his phone is switched off. He heard some footsteps and then the door unlocking.

"it's midnight !! where the hell were you ?!"

Beomgyu asks Taehyun, raising his voice. Taehyun looks up at him with tired eyes and sighs.

"hyung I'm tired-"

"WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM ?!"

Taehyun flinched when Beomgyu shouted at him. He has been coming home late almost everyday and he won't talk to Beomgyu properly, as if he was avoiding him.

"why do you run away from your problems all the time ? You can't keep it all inside Taehyun !! bottling it up won't do any good"

Taehyun looked down to hide his eyes that were filled with tears. True. He has been going through a lot. He has uni pressure, family pressure and he has been drifting away from everyone, even his best friend who he lived with.

"I- I thought we were best friends...or at least good and close friends...who can talk about their problems with each other..."

Beomgyu noticed Taehyun's cheeks that were stained with tears. He walked closer to Taehyun and kept his hand on his shoulder.

"hey...i- i know you're hurting...but, you're not alone...ok ?"

Taehyun lifted his head up and looked at Beomgyu. He could see how worried Beomgyu was and that he really meant what he said. Beomgyu never left his side even when he was at his lowest.

Taehyun sobbed and hugged Beomgyu, making him stumble back.

"h-hyung...."

Taehyun cried out in his arms while trying to speak. Beomgyu rubbed his back, hugging him even tighter and snuggling his face in his neck.

"shh... it's alright... I'm here hm ?"

Beomgyu picked Taehyun up in his arms and sat on the couch, still hugging him tightly and making circles on his back.

"hyung.... I'm sorry...i shouldn't have-"

"Taehyun-ah... it's alright...i can never stay mad at you...you know that too right ?"

Taehyun nodded, resting his head on Beomgyu's chest, while Beomgyu laid back. They sat like that for almost an hour and Taehyun felt much better. He started playing with the hem of Beomgyu's sweatshirt, still sniffling.

The silence wasn't awkward, but comfortable. Taehyun always found comfort in Beomgyu and so did Beomgyu. Maybe they had mixed feelings for each other.

They were best friends but always wanted more. The presence of the other could simply light up their mood. Every time they had a fight, they would talk it out because the thought of losing the other was frightening.
