Yeonjun stood up and ran with Soobin running behind him. Taehyun looked around in panic and realised he was alone. Everyone must've already gathered for defence. He ran behind them too and joined his troop members.

He hoped to see Beomgyu there but he wasn't there. His heart was about to explode and all he could do was breathe louder with each second that passed by.

"why aren't we going with them ??"

"because our troop isn't complete and we can't leave unless all the members are together"

"that's bullshit !! Beomgyu hyung, he- he's at the lake !! He's right there, let's go and save him-"

"we can't disobey the orders"

Taehyun started crying. He imagined the worst possible scenarios in his head and it only made him more impatient. He kept looking out for Yeonjun and Soobin since their troop was on the rescue.

For half an hour, Taehyun sat there, tapping his feet, scratching his hands and biting his lips. That's when he finally heard the sound of the canter. He stood up and leaned over to the railing. As soon as he saw Beomgyu sitting in between Yeonjun and Soobin, his heart felt at ease.

He sat back and took slow and deep breaths. He noticed Beomgyu limping and Yeonjun had to help him walk. He ran towards them but Beomgyu was immediately taken away to their head's office for inquiry.

They could hear the head shouting and scolding Beomgyu for going out alone without any weapons too. He came out and Taehyun immediately grabbed his arm, preventing him from falling.

"thank-"

Beomgyu noticed it was Taehyun who was holding him and not Yeonjun. He looked away and bit his lower lip.

"gyu...are you fine ? did he scold you a lot ?"

"I'm fine hyung... I'm used to this haha..."

"um...me and Soobin will be leaving for our mission tomorrow"

"when will you be back ?"

"next week...and i don't think your troop will be assigned any missions considering your condition"

Yeonjun said, looking at Beomgyu's ankle which looked completely twisted and bruised.

"it's alright don't worry about me... I'll be fine-"

"so till then, he'll be taking care of you"

"he who ?"

"Isn't it obvious I'm talking about Taehyun ?"

Beomgyu opened his mouth to protest but immediately closed it, remembering the last interaction they had. He glanced at Taehyun who was looking down, his face a bit wrinkled. Was he worried ? For him ?

Beomgyu just nodded and hugged Yeonjun and Soobin. Taehyun helped him inside him room and sat beside him, opening the first aid kit. None of them spoke a word.

"do you know how to treat it-"

"I was a medical student... don't worry"

There was an awkward silence. Beomgyu just sat there watching Taehyun treating his bruises.
