Taehyun put his sunglasses on and got off the aeroplane. He breathed in the cool and sunny breeze of Bali and smiled. He was finally on vacation. He entered his room which was literally on the seashore and jumped on the bed, looking at the view from his window.

The sea looked so pretty and blue, he wanted to swim right away. He changed into his costume and stepped out of his room, slowly walking in the cold sea water. His trip lasted for two days and by that time, he had collected hundreds of shells.

Some were small while some were big, and some mediums too. He sat outside his room for the last time, throwing away some of his shells in the water since he couldn't possibly take all of them home. He held the handle of his suitcase and got off the wooden stairs.

He was just about to leave the shore when his eyes landed on a particular shell. This shell looked unusual. He left his suitcase and stepped closer to the shell only to realise it was much bigger than the other ones.

It was a resplendent, grayish blue coloured shell with a pattern Taehyun had never seen before. He gently picked it up making sure not to break it and surprisingly, it was much heavier than the other ones.

He couldn't just leave it there so he obviously carried it with him. Once he was back home, he quickly opened his suitcase again and took out the shell. He stared at it in awe and noticed there was an opening to it. He didn't know why but he waited for a few seconds before forcing it open.

As soon as he opened it, the shell slipped from his hands and he stepped back because all he could see was white. He breathed heavily, looking around and not seeing anything but white.

He rubbed his eyes and held his head tightly before opening his eyes again and thankfully, everything was back to normal. Not really normal though. Cause now Taehyun wasn't alone in his room.

There was a huge fish lying on his floor, wait that's not a fish, it's a mermaid ! He gasped and stepped back, trying to look if it's real or just a puppet. The mermaid turned her head towards Taehyun, locking eyes with him.

Holy Shit. IT'S A MERMAN.

Taehyun choked and coughed, rubbing his eyes to make sure he wasn't dreaming. And he wasn't. The merman was extremely pretty. He had greyish blue, shiny and glossy scales, that left Taehyun in awe.

"w-who are you ?"

"shouldn't i be asking that since you woke me up ?"

Holy Moly. His voice was even prettier. It was a honey-like melody that made Taehyun want to hear him more.

"I'm Beomgyu...i live in the sea...as you can see...and i don't think I'm gonna survive five more minutes if i stay on the floor"

Taehyun panicked and rushed to his bathroom. He filled in the tub and walked back to where Beomgyu was lying. He gulped and stepped closer, holding his arm. His arms were just as soft as his own but he still feared that he might break him.

He helped Beomgyu crawl to the bathroom and in the bathtub. He sat on a chair beside the tub and stared at Beomgyu while he laid back down with closed eyes.

"who are you ? why did you bring me here ?"

"i-i didn't know..."

"You don't know your name ?"
