"hello Taehyun, I'm so glad you agreed to help"

"of course sir, it has always been a pleasure to work for you"

"take a seat"

Taehyun sat down in front of the head. Taehyun is a psychiatrist and he has dealt with almost all kinds of patients. This time, he was offered to work for a patient in a mental hospital.

"oh and i heard about you quitting your job...is that true ?"

"uh yeah... actually I've been wanting to try other things...i want to live away from the worries i have right now so..."

"I'm so sorry, i wouldn't have offered you if i knew"

"it's totally alright... I'm actually really excited and curious about this one or say my last one ? hehe"

"yeah...so let me tell you about him"

Taehyun intertwined his hands, keeping them on the table, ready to take in the information.

"His name is Choi Beomgyu. He is twenty one and he went through something that made him commit crimes..."

"what crimes ?"

".....murder...he killed both his stepdad and stepmom"

Taehyun furrowed his eyebrows. This was the first time he was going to deal with a criminal.

"is there a reason behind it ?"

"what we know is his biological dad passed away when he was thirteen and it was so sudden that his mother went into depression and he had to take care of both of them"

"both ?"

"yeah...he had a younger brother...he was five at that time...when their father died... apparently after two years, their mother started seeing someone... Beomgyu didn't object cause he was happy his mother was happy and their stepdad treated them like his own kids until his mother died in a car accident.... he was sixteen when his mother passed away"

Taehyun got shivers all over his body. He couldn't even imagine how much the boy must've gone through.

"you see...he was really close to his dad, his death was already so much for him to take in and his mother's death just made it worse...he started having some mental problems so he started seeing a therapist...what we know from the therapist is that he suffered from schizophrenia and it got worse when his stepdad decided to marry again...it was a lot for him to take in and for his 11 year old brother too...but... after that... no one knew what happened.....his brother had a mysterious death and his case was closed without any justice...their parents said that he was playing with a knife and...yeah... however... beomgyu kept visiting the police, reciting a whole different story and no one believed him... no one...he was left alone with his step parents...he killed his stepdad at the age of 18...i think it was some time after they got married...and he disappeared without a trace....he came back after a whole year and killed his stepmother on the exact same day...he was caught this time... because he was suffering from mental illness, he was only sentenced jail for two years and the rest in here..."

"so...you think his brothers death has something to do with their step parents ??"

"exactly !"

"but they got away with it so je decided to kill them himself...if I'm right"

"it looks like that to me...but he hasn't opened up about that"

Taehyun rested back in his seat, processing all the things he just heard. This was indeed interesting.

"you want to know why he killed them ?"

"exactly...and i think you're the best person to do that"

"why so ?"

"i don't know... maybe because you're almost the same age ?? or i just think you can make him do it...i hope i can trust you"

"yes you can sir... I'm actually really curious and excited..."

"so you can visit him tomorrow...i assume you need time to think about-"

"i wanna meet him now actually"

"right now ?? are you sure ?"

"yeah...i wanna see him first so i can think about it"

The head walked him through multiple doors until they stopped at a certain door. Taehyun assumed it was his room. He tried to peek inside but he wasn't able to see anything. The head asked the guards to open the door and let Taehyun enter inside.

The head instructed Taehyun on how he can call for help if something goes wrong and handed him a red button thingy. Taehyun entered inside and sat on the visitor's chair. He saw someone sitting in front of the window, staring outside while clicking a pen.

"you're Beomgyu ? if I'm right ?"

The clicking noise stopped when the boy heard the voice. He slowly turned around and Taehyun was surprised to see him. He seemed normal, just like him and he was quite handsome if Taehyun was being honest.

Beomgyu stood up and walked towards Taehyun, sitting on the chair across the table, in front of Taehyun.

"who are you ? another psychiatrist ??"

"yes, I am Kang Taehyun and I'm your psychiatrist"

"tch... let's see how long you're gonna stay...one day ? two day ?? or three ?? that's the highest"

Taehyun stared closely at the boy, trying to observe all his movements and expressions. Beomgyu felt weird. This was the first time someone had stared at him for so long.

"are you gonna keep staring at me or ask me something ??"

"not really... I'm just here to meet you today...Thank You"

Taehyun stood up and offered his hand out for a handshake. Beomgyu stared at him in shock. He only came to meet him ? He stared his hand for sometime and looked at Taehyun who was smiling at him. Beomgyu didn't even realise when his hand was shaking against the other's until Taehyun bowed at him and left the room.

"that was quick"

The head said, nervous that Taehyun might reject this offer just like the others.

"y-you're not going to reject the offer right ?"

"of course not...He's gonna love me"

Taehyun smiled and walked away, after bowing to the head.
