You really think he's still waiting for you?? Come on dude! It has been two years since you last saw each other... He definitely has a new man"

Soobin just sighed in response while still packing his stuff.

"And you were just boyfriends-"

"We are... I didn't ask you to talk about my love life or anything then why are you blabbering shit?"

"You'll see it for yourself tomorrow... I doubt he's even gonna be here for the pickup.. probably getting laid by some new-"

"Can you shut the fuck up?"

Soobin glared at his roommate and kept his suitcase near the door. He switched off the light and went to bed even though he was wide awake.

All he could think about was meeting the love of his life after not seeing each other for two years. He left Beomgyu all alone suddenly when he had to join the military due to some family reasons.

They talked on calls even though Soobin wasn't allowed to. But for the past month, he hadn't even heard Beomgyu's voice and he couldn't stop thinking about it.

He knew Beomgyu loved him just as much as he did but whatever his roommate said made him doubt their relationship. There was no way Beomgyu would move on from him or even leave him.

They were madly in love and they still are, at least Soobin was. He just closed his eyes, convincing himself that he would meet Beomgyu tomorrow.

Soobin woke up before time and quickly freshened up. He was smiling the whole time, knowing he would meet Beomgyu in a few hours. He wore his uniform for the last time and fixed his hair.

All the soldiers gathered in the ground where they were standing on their first day here. Soobin remembered how heartbroken Beomgyu looked amongst all the other families bidding goodbyes to their family members.

If he was being honest, his heart was palpitating. He was extremely nervous and excited to finally leave that place. He was nervous about seeing Beomgyu again but the excitement was just as overwhelming.

"Soldiers! Attention!"

All of them stood on their spots, eyes fixed forward. They could hear a crowd entering through the main gates on their right which were probably their families. But they weren't allowed to even move their heads.

Soobin was almost at the leftmost row which meant whoever came to pick him up wouldn't be able to find him immediately. He just wanted to run away but he knew it was just gonna take 15 minutes for him to be finally free.

Their head was going on and on about the life lessons, struggles and what not. Soobin was not at all focused. He was totally zoned out. Right when he snapped back to reality, he heard their head salute.

All the soldiers saluted and bowed before tapping their right foot on the ground.

"Dismiss!"

All the soldiers ran to their families and their families towards them but Soobin couldn't bring himself to even look that way.

What if what his roommate said was true and Beomgyu didn't come to pick him up? What if Beomgyu had moved on and forgotten him?

Soobin nonetheless, turned to the side. His eyes directly landed on a certain chestnut head in the distance, who was looking around with tears rolling down his face. He looked like a child who got lost in the amusement park.
