My anxiety grew. I had been eagerly awaiting Terrence's call since he left for his business trip. Although I understood that he would be busy with work, twenty-four hours seemed like a stretch from not hearing from him.

I tried my best to distract myself throughout the day, throwing myself into unfinished projects . Today was a hectic day, so it was a bit easier pushing thoughts of Terrence to the back of my mind.

As the evening sun dipped below the horizon, I couldn't bear the uncertainty any longer. I had decided to give Terrence a call, but the phone rang several times before going to voicemail. Multiple calls after that all went to voicemail.

"Don't stress about it," Stacey's touch on my hand brought me back to reality. Her voice was filled with reassurance as she looked at me with understanding eyes. "We're going to have a fantastic night out, and you deserve to enjoy yourself."

Taking a deep breath, I nodded. Emily and I planned to go out tonight and have fun in the city. However, Stacey pulled up to my house the moment I got back from work. She instantly clicked with Emily, and it felt like they had known each other for years.

Gathered in my bedroom, surrounded by a sea of clothes and cosmetics, we prepared ourselves for an unforgettable evening. Stacey, known for her impeccable style, began rummaging through my wardrobe, selecting an array of outfits that would perfectly suit the vibrant atmosphere of the city. Meanwhile, Emily, with her flair for makeup, laid out an assortment of eyeshadows, lipsticks, and brushes, eager to transform us into glamorous versions of ourselves.

As we slipped into our chosen ensembles, the room buzzed with laughter and chatter, shifting my focus away from my diverted calls. Stacey playfully teased me about being too cautious with my fashion choices, while Emily shared anecdotes about her adventures in Canada, her enthusiasm contagious.

With the final touch of makeup, we stood before the mirror, admiring our transformed appearances. Stacey's confident smile, Emily's radiant glow, and my own newfound sense of excitement mirrored in the reflection.

Before leaving the house, we captured a few snapshots to commemorate the night ahead. Selfies and group photos filled our phones, capturing the anticipation and bonding between us. As we posed, giggling and striking poses, the camaraderie between us grew stronger.

With the evening stretching ahead of us, we piled into my car and embarked on our adventure. The streets buzzed with energy, illuminated by the vibrant lights and the hustle and bustle of people going about their evening plans. Laughter and conversation filled the air as we shared stories, blending seamlessly into a tight-knit group.

Our first destination was a trendy rooftop bar that boasted panoramic views of the city skyline. The pulsating music and lively ambience greeted us as we entered, and we found ourselves immersed in a sea of dancing bodies.

"I hope you're not just going to sit in a corner, babe?" Stacey asked as we moved towards the bar.

"I see that you're a popular loner, Morisson." Emily laughed, and I rolled my eyes at their remarks.

Chuckling, I playfully nudged Stacey. "I promise not to be a wallflower tonight. I'll show you some moves I've learnt."

"What drinks do you ladies want?" The bartender smiled warmly at us as we sat down on the stools, his eyes lingering on Emily.

Grinning mischievously, Stacey leaned in closer to the bartender, putting on a dramatic voice. "We'll have any three cocktails, shock us!"

The bartender chuckled at Stacey's theatricality, amused by her enthusiasm. "Alright, ladies, I'll whip up something special for you."
