After wiping her tears and composing herself, Deborah grabbed her ID and went downstairs to Belinda's place. There she handed her the money and her ID. "I thought Shawn called you by another name." Belinda said suspiciously.

"Yeah, my friends call me Desiree."

"I'm only renting to you because Shawn gave you a good recommendation. I don't usually rent to outsiders. You're not going to give me any trouble, are you?"

"No, ma'am."

"Okay. Here are your keys and welcome." The old lady said, patting Deborah's cheek.

Deborah left and cut through the park and as Shawn had said it was way quicker. His car wasn't at the diner. She got in her car and drove to the motel. There she packed what she had and said goodbye to Janine. "Here's the room key, Janine. And thank you for letting me stay here when you shouldn't have." Deborah said, giving her the key.

"I could tell you were running away from something bad. And now that you finally found a place, I officially welcome you to town."

"Thank you. Now I have to go check if I still have a job." Deborah left the motel and headed back to the diner. There was Shawn's truck parked in the front. She went inside with her apron in her hand searching for him. He came out of the office with a worried look on his face. "Shawn, please, can we talk."

"Not right now." He said putting his hand up.

"I don't want you to be upset because of this. I know I screwed up."

"Look, Desiree, Deborah, whatever your name is. The world doesn't revolve around you, alright. I can't deal with you right now. I have more important things to worry about. Now put on your apron and get to work if you want to keep your job." He said, grabbing her arms and pushing her out of his way.

She stared after him confused. Then she looked at Carl who just shrugged. She put on the apron and went to work. When her shift was almost over, a beautiful woman walked into the diner. Deborah was going to greet her, but Wilma walked right behind the woman pointing to a booth. She looked at Shawn, who had been distant to her all day. He caught her gaze and quickly turned his attention to the table with his mother. He went and sat down with them. "Hey, Desiree." Wilma snapped her fingers at her.

Annoyed, she turned towards her. "Yes, ma'am?"

"Bring us two coffees. Black."

"I'll do it, mom." Shawn said, getting up.

"No, let her do it. It's her job. She has to learn her place around here." Wilma said as the woman looked at Deborah and laughed.

"No problem. Two black coffees right up." Deborah tried to say with a smile. She walked to the coffee pot and started pouring the coffee into one of the cups when she felt a sharp pain in her stomach and dropped the cup. "Ahh." She cried in pain.

Shawn heard the commotion and got up to see what was going on. "Are you okay? What happened?" He asked when he saw her holding her stomach.

"I don't know. It hurts a lot." She said bending over in pain.

"Okay, I'm taking you to the hospital."

"No, what about the diner? There's still people here."

"Carl, close up."

"Yes, sir." Carl said.

"Shawn, we have company. What are you doing?" Wilma complained.

"Mom, there's something wrong with her. I have to take her to the hospital."

Shawn helped Deborah out of the diner and into his car. He drove in silence while Deborah held onto her stomach and cried. "What is this? It's like a really bad cramp. I've never felt this before."

"We're almost there. Don't worry." He said, looking for her hand and holding it tight.
