Wilma stood next to Shawn in the waiting room. Camila and Anthony soon joined them. "What happened?" Camila asked.

"I don't know. I wasn't home. I was in the hospital all afternoon." Shawn said, shaking his head.

"Yes, son. We heard about what happened at the diner. How are you? Heard your cook got shot." Anthony put a hand on Shawn's shoulder.

"He's going to make it, he's strong."

"Family of July Wilson?" The doctor asked.

"That's us." Camila said.

"We were able to pump her stomach, but we are going to have to keep her on suicidal watch for fourty eight hours."

"Is the baby okay?" Wilma asked.

"They are both fine. I'm going to need to speak to each of you individually. Can I start with you, Mr Wilson?"

"Sure." Shawn said following the doctor to his office.

Inside the office the doctor motioned Shawn to sit down. Shawn sat down. "Okay, so, have you and your wife been having problems?"

"I was actually on my way to argue with her when I found her." He ran his fingers through his hair.

"Okay, and before that?"

"Things had been a bit strained."

"Okay, Mr Wilson. The next few days are going to be critical. We can't stress her out, we have to watch not only for her life but for the baby's life too."

"What do you mean? Because here I am planning on moving out of the house."

"We can't be selfish right now. We are going to have to put a pause on this argument, sir."

"So I have to act like the perfect family with her?" Shawn stood up.

"I understand it's frustrating. But right now she is going to go through a lot of therapy, and until we are sure nothing is going to trigger her, we have to be cautious. You can go and see her now, I'll take you." The doctor led Shawn to her room. He opened the door and saw her staring blankly at the ceiling.

"July." He called softly.

She looked at him and started crying. "Why did you save me? I should die. You don't love me or this kid."

"July, I care deeply about you and our child." He stood next to her and tried to hold her hand.

"You're lying, Shawn! Why keep me alive? I am just in the way of your happiness with that homewrecker!"

"July, calm down. I'm here with you, right? Not with her."

"Are you staying with me?" She asked hopefully.

He grabbed her hand and kissed it. "That's right. We are going to make this work, July. We are married."

"So, do you forgive me for deceiving you all this time?"

He swallowed hard and smiled. "Of course, that is all in the past. Now we have to concentrate on you getting better and having a healthy baby."

"And us, right?"

"Sure, and us. Your parents are here, I'm sure they want to see you. Doctor said he has to keep you for forty eight hours. And you should rest. I need to go home and rest too, it's been a long day."

"She almost got you killed again, you know? I would never risk your life like that. I could never live without you. If you leave me, I would kill myself."

"Don't think like that. I'm not going anywhere." He leaned and kissed her forehead, but she grabbed the back of his neck and brought his lips to hers.

"I love you." She said as he winked at her and left the room.

"She's ready to see you." Shawn told her parents.

Camila walked to him and slapped him. "You were cheating on her and planning on leaving her? She's your wife, you made a promise, she's the mother of your children!"

"You disappoint me, son." Anthony said, pulling his wife into July's room.

"You had to tell them?" He yelled at Wilma, who was smiling. "And you're enjoying this? Mom, don't you want your son to be happy?"

"And you will be happy with your wife and kids, where you belong."

"I would never be happy with her. The doctor might try to force me to stay with her, but the minute she's better, I'm out."

"Do you hear yourself? This woman almost killed herself because she was afraid of losing you, she put her unborn child in danger. She needs a lot of help, and that's going to take a long time. You have to be there and love her."

"I don't love her, mom. I never will."

"You will learn to love her."

"Good bye, mom."

:"Where do you think you're going?"

"I have things to do and I have to rest. If you haven't noticed, a lot has happened today."

"You better not be going to see her!" She yelled as he walked away.

He walked back and got close to her. "You better learn to keep your mouth shut. This little stunt of running around telling people my business it's what made this happen." And he walked away, leaving her shocked.
