Deborah stood at the waiting room area, pacing back and forth. "Would you just sit down already?" Roger asked furiously.

"Roger, our father is in there. We don't know what's going on." She said with tears in her eyes.

"Oh, please, save your tears. He's not your father."

"To me he will always be my father."

"Just go home to your husband."

"I'm not leaving until I know what's going on."

"Family of Mr Thompson?" A doctor asked.

"That's us!" Deborah said as Roger stood next to her. "How is he? Can we see him?"

"I'm sorry, he doesn't have much time, you might want to go in and say your goodbyes." He motioned for them to follow him.

As they entered the room, James was connected to many tubes. Deborah ran to his side. She grabbed his hand as he weakly squeezed it. "Dad! Can you hear me?"

He barely opened his eyes. "Go to your mother's hometown. Look for your family. I'm sorry, I do love you. Roger." He called to him. Roger stood next to him and grabbed his other hand.

"I'm here, dad."

"Please, take care of your sister. I mean it. Help her find her family."

"Sure." Roger said as Deborah stared at him.

Suddenly the machines started beeping. A doctor and two nurses ran inside and pushed them outside. "No!" Cried Deborah as Roger pulled her out. "Dad!"

"Stop making a scene!" He whispered.

She turned around and slapped him. "Our father just died, Roger. Show some compassion."

"You're going to pay for that."

"I don't care anymore, Roger. Bobby can call the cops. They can arrest me. That way I'll be away from all of you." He grabbed her arm and walked out of the hospital. He pushed her inside the car and slammed the door. He started driving. "Where are you taking me?"

"Where you belong." They arrived at the bar and he pulled her out. "Now you'll see what awaits you." They went inside, where Bobby and Serge were sitting on a table drinking.

"If it isn't my dear wife." Serge said.

Roger pushed her and threw her on the floor between them. "You have no way out. Bobby never intended to call the cops on you. But he wants you to pay for stealing that money." He squared next to her, pushing her hair out of her face. "I'll be nice and give you a choice. Be Serge's willing wife or we would hand you to Bobby and he can do to you whatever he wants."

"Dad told you to take care of me. To help me find my family and you said yes."

"I am taking care of you. I'm making sure you have a roof over your head."

"What if I don't want any of those options?"

Roger took out his gun and pointed it at her head. "I can make you disappear. I can just say you ran away again. But let's face it. Who is going to miss you?" He said laughing. "So what is it going to be?"

"I can show you what a real man can do." Bobby said getting up from the chair and walking up to her.

She looked at him in disgust and then looked at Serge, then at the gun pointed at her. "I'll go with Serge." She gave up.

"Perfect." Roger said, putting the gun away. "Serge, the new apartment is ready and furnished. You can take your wife home, you still haven't had your wedding night."

"That's right, you were sneaky last night. Hiding behind your daddy, but he's not here anymore, is he?" Serge said, picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder.

"Serge, you'll be receiving a monthly allowance. Is supposed to be hers, but you're the husband now, you manage it how you see fit." Roger said leaving the bar.

"I'll be seeing you later, dad. I have to take the wife home." Serge left through the back door and pushed Deborah inside his truck. She couldn't stop crying. He got inside the truck and looked at her. "Shut up!" She sobbed louder. He slapped her hard. "Want me to give you a real reason to cry?" She shook her head as she rubbed her cheek. "That's better."

When they got to the apartment, Serge opened her door and pulled her out as she tried to fight him. "Serge, please." She sobbed as he pulled her hard inside the apartment. He opened the door and pushed her in. He grabbed her and went to the bedroom. He threw her on the floor. She got on her knees. "Please, I beg you. If you ever felt something for me, please, don't do this." She cried again.

He slapped her twice. "I told you to stop crying." He said, pulling her hair. "And no, I never felt anything for you. Now you're stuck with me. I can do anything I want. And you're going to obey me. If you don't, I'll have to punish you. I would use anything to hit you. You would learn to listen. You understand?" She quietly sobbed as he pulled her hair harder. "Do you understand, Deborah?" He yelled.

"Yes."

"Good. Now take off your clothes and get in bed." He said letting go of her hair.

She got up and looked at the bed. "Serge, please." He punched her and busted her lip. She fell back on the floor as blood spilled from her lip.

"Do as you are told. Or would you want my dad to join us? You know he'll be rougher than me."

She got up, wiped her tears and slowly walked to the bed. She slowly undressed as Serge just stared at her smiling. She got in bed and covered herself with the sheet. He quickly undressed and walked to the bed. With one quick movement he yanked the sheet of her and got on top of her. "I hate you." She whispered.

"I'm going to make your life a living hell." He said grabbing her by her throat with one hand as he pushed her legs apart with the other and got between them.
