Deborah slowly pushed him while catching her breath. "What are you doing?" She asked without taking her eyes off him.
"I'm sorry. I thought you wanted this. You kissed me earlier." He said confused as he rubbed his lower lip with his thumb.
"What do you think this is, that I want?"
"Look, Deborah. I like you, okay? I think I've demonstrated this to you multiple times, and that I care for you. I even forgave you for lying to me." He said sitting down on the couch. "That first night I kissed you, the night you threw me in the lake, I admit it was too soon. But, you were the one that kissed me today. I've been patient."
"I know, Shawn. And I do like you too, a lot." She said, squatting in front of him. "But finding out my ex is on his way made me think. I'm not a plaything."
"You think I'm going to use you?" He asked, offended standing up, making her fall to the floor.
"I don't know that, Shawn!" He turned around and helped her up. "What's with July? Why is she always around lately?"
"What does she have to do with this? With us?"
"She is obviously interested in you." She said, crossing her arms across her chest.
"And I'm not interested in her. I've told you this. Yes, we were engaged and I broke it off." He said, grabbing her arms.
"She's looking for something."
"And she can look all she wants. Even if her son is mine, I'm not getting back together with her. We are doing the DNA test in two weeks."
"We wouldn't be able to be together. You know that."
"Why? Give me one good reason."
"Your mother is one. She hates me, she'll never leave us alone."
"We are both adults, we can make our own choices. I don't need her approval." He started caressing her cheek. He lowered his face and slowly kissed her. She opened her mouth and let him in. She grabbed his collar and pulled him closer to her. He lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist as he moved over to the couch and laid her down. He removed his shirt, breaking the kiss momentarily. She took off her shirt and lowered her jeans while looking at him. He kissed her neck and her chest as he lowered his pants. She opened her legs and he lowered himself between them. "Are you sure about this?"
"Yes, I am." She said as he lowered himself and entered her, kissing her drowning her moans.
They laid naked on the floor in each other's arms. She trailed her finger on his chest making little circles. "Are you okay?" He asked, grabbing her hand and kissing it.
"It was amazing." She said stretching. "That's how I wish my first time would've been like."
He turned and faced her, pushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "I always want to make you feel like that. If you let me." He kissed her forehead.
She grabbed his face and kissed him. "You are a wonderful man, you know that?"
"I've been told." He said laughing as he laid back and pulled her on top of his chest. "So, we need a plan."
"For what?"
"Hate to bring it up, but about your ex."
"Oh, that." She said getting up and wrapping herself on a blanket.
He sat up, staring at her looking scared. "I think it is better if you don't go to work for a while. They're going to be looking for you in town. I'm sure they'll look in every restaurant and bar."
"What am I going to do in the meantime?"
"I suggest you hide here. I'll take care of everything else." He got up and walked towards her as she stood with her back facing him. He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight.
"Someone might tell them you know me and they might follow you."
"You leave that to me. This is my town. I'll know how to lose them if they do."
