Deborah and Shawn walked into the apartment with groceries. "You always cook for me, Shawn. Let me do this just once." She said as they walked to the kitchen.

"Maybe because I like my cooking. I don't know if you'll try to poison me or something." He said laughing as she slapped his back.

"Hey, I know how to cook. You'll see. Let me go change and I'll get started. Make yourself comfortable." She said walking to the room.

"I like what you've done to the place. You make it feel homie."

"Belinda had a lot of furniture in the garage to pick from." She said from the room.

"It looks really nice." He said as she came out of the room in jeans and a shirt. "Do you need any help?"

"No, just watch some TV. I got this."

After dinner, he leaned back in his chair. "I'm stuffed. This was delicious. I think Carl might lose his job."

"Please. It was nothing. A simple meal." She said, picking up the plates.

"Let me do the dishes for you."

She thought about it and nodded. "Okay, it's a deal. I'll just plop myself in front of the TV." She said walking towards the couch when she saw her answering machine. "Oh, I have a message." She pressed play.

"Debbie, it's Helga. They are coming for you. You have to leave!"

Deborah froze in place. Shawn came and put his hand on her shoulder making her jump. "Woah, is everything okay? What was that about?"

"They are coming. They must know where I am!" She said with tears in her eyes. "It was always a possibility that they would find me, but I didn't think it would be this soon." She grabbed the phone and called Helga's house. It rang three times before she picked up. "Helga, it's me."

"Debbie." Helga whispered. "Leave town."

"Hello, Deborah. Missed me? I'm coming to get you and bring you back home where you belong." Serge said as she heard Helga whimpering. She quickly hung up.

She turned to Shawn. "I have to leave."

"Wait, what? Where would you go?"

"I don't know." She said as she ran to the room and started packing her clothes.

"Hey, you're an adult. They can't force you to go with them if you don't want to." He said, grabbing her shoulders, making her look at him.

"Shawn, you don't understand. My father is a senator. Any bad press and it could ruin his image. If they find me and the press find out I ran away, they will try to find out why and I'm sure Serge will tell them every gory detail."

"I'm sure your father will protect you."

"My father hates me. He must be glad I'm gone. But if I come back everything will be ruined."

"Pack a bag. You're coming with me. We are going to fight this. I'm not going to let them take you." He said, grabbing her face. They looked into each other's eyes. Without thinking, Deborah got on her tip toes and planted her lips on his. He was taken aback and let go of her face.

"Oh my God. I'm so sorry. I don't know what I was thinking. It's all this happening. I just reacted. Please forgive me." She said, covering her blushing face.

"Just pack your bag. Let's go."

"Are you sure about this?" She asked as they left her place and got in his car.

"I won't let them take you. I promise." And they drove in silence towards his cabin. When they got there, Wilma's car was there. "Crap." He muttered. "Come on." He said, grabbing her bag.

As they entered they saw Wilma and the beautiful woman sitting on the couch. "Shawn, where have you been? And what is she doing here?" Wilma asked, upset.

"She's going to be staying here for a while. They are doing some work at her apartment."

"And she can't stay at a motel? It doesn't look right that in your situation, you have another woman living with you." Wilma said, pulling him aside leaving Deborah and the woman by themselves.

"This is the second time I see you." The woman said getting up from the couch and walking towards her. "I'm July, and you are?" She extended her hand.

So this was July. Thought Deborah. She grabbed her hand and shook it. "I'm Deborah."

"Yes, the girl with the many names. I've heard." July shrugged. "Listen, I don't know what your game is, but this is not going to happen."

"What are you talking about?" Deborah asked curious.

"Enough is enough. You're just a girl. He would never take you seriously. You catch my drift?"

"Are you implying there's something between Shawn and I?" Deborah asked, putting her hand on her chest, acting offended.

"You've been warned." July said, digging her nails in Deborah's arm. She quickly pulled away as Shawn and Wilma walked back into the living room.

"Deborah, the room is ready. I put your bag there." Shawn said.

"Shawn, your mother is right. It doesn't look right that I stay here. I'll just stay at the motel. I'll go get my bag." Deborah said walking to the room.

"Oh, she has common sense!" Wilma said laughing.

"Mom, I'm going to ask both of you to leave now." He said walking to the door and opening it for them. "Goodbye." He pushed them out the door.

When Deborah walked out with her bag, there was only Shawn standing there. "Where did everyone go?"

"I told them to leave." He said walking towards her and grabbing her bag, putting it on the floor. He grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her towards him kissing her deeply.
